Stepping Stone 4-FORGIVENESS.

Interesting topic for me. I went to visit my parents this weekend (I live 10 hours away, by car). My mom and I stayed up Friday night talking and catching up. I confessed some things to her that were weighing heavy on my heart. I figured if I had such a great response from strangers, surely my own mother will react the same way. Thank God I was right. I asked her for forgiveness and told her about the 4th stepping stone. I told her that I had to forgive myself because God had forgiven me. She said had I trusted her and told her what I had done 10 years ago, I wouldn't have had to live with all of this for this long. That she will always be here for me and that she loved me. I felt so incredibly blessed at that moment. She's a beautiful person with a huge heart. God has done so much in their lives, it's amazing.

My sister has been going through some really rough times and I attempted to talk to her about forgiveness. She's a little tougher to get through to but I'll keep praying for God to use me to get His message out. I thank God that He led me to this website. I am thankful that I have finally been able to forgive myself. I am thankful that I am able to forgive others. I am thankful for all of God's blessings.

Love and Blessings,

inhishands,

I've been thinking about you over the weekend. So today's step was on forgiveness and your making huge strides already. Doesn't it feel good to start reconciling the things of the past? Like a weight being lifted. Jesus has forgiven you by giving up His life, and now that you are begiining to reach out to others and seek forgiveness from them, as well as to tell them about Jesus forgiveness...you are breaking the chains of the past.

He is so proud of you.

Keep it up sis.

luv ya
Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.

hiya inHishands

i literally cried when i read your post today. His grace and mercy is so complete. I actually feel your spirit being lifted out of that pit it has been in for so long. Maybe cuz we have similar pasts? When He says He doesnt remember what we have done anymore, once we repent, He means it. Those who know His love and have it within them feel the burden others carry. They understand. The Lord will use your past to reach out to someone else who needs to know they too, are children of a mighty, merciful, longsuffering, loving God, who can deliver them, too, from the chains and bondages of their pasts.

Keep praying for your sister, sis. In prayer with you.

Keep going, He has so much more to show you, now that you are just beggining to see you as He does.

in Jesus,
love momo *Pray*

"'And whenever you stand praying,

. . . .if you have anything against anyone,

forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.'"

. . . . . . . . . . . . . (Mark 11:25)

I see, here, that Jesus wants me to forgive while I am praying,
not to first think I have to go to the person to see if the person will admit he or she is wrong and ask for forgiveness, but first to forgive in prayer . . . send this out in prayer and God's love to effect the person better than I can hope >

yes, You can straighten the person out better than I can ;)

First off let me start by saying that you will never know how much I truly appreciate your love and support. You don't know me yet you are have been here for me more than people I've know for 12 years. It's amazing. Thank you.

Thank you for your prayers, these steps have opened my eyes to so many things I truly needed in my life. I will continue to pray for each one of you.

How awesome! To get to spend time with your mom and have her accept you despite your faults. You are blessed. Praise God.

Brings a smile to my face. :)
