This forum is for those who are 18 years of age or older. This forum is a sanctuary for those who are experiencing trials and tribulation and seek words of wisdom, comfort and TRUTH from fellow Christians who have experienced similar trials and tribulation and have overcome them. Never forget that we ALL fall down as we sojourn down this Christian Walk. The trick is to get up and carry on fighting the good fight of FAITH. One of the greatest gifts that our Father gave to Christians is ... Fellow Christians. James 5:16 ... Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. pw, memories are to serve as a lesson to teach us what to not repeat or to repeat as well as serve as a testimony to be used to reach other people. Memories are not to hurt us over and over.

You have the tools now my friend...so make sure you use them to fight off the enemy and his wanting to place weeds.

I have done my LORD wrong many times.

As most will admit to doing.

Tho I know He forgives, I still feel HORRIBLE when I do.

I thank God that He forgives ALL that I have done and accepts me back.

We should ALL do the same.

That is what is written ...

I suppose we could all come up with If's And's and But's ...

However ... I know we all have peace in knowing that HE would never do that to us ... Come up with excuses as to why HE should not forgive us.

Despite ALL of our own dirty lil secrets.

Luv all of ya
Jesus is coming ... Get your soul prepared.

Step 8

What an interesting step

The apostle Paul truly knew trials and tribulations, just by reading a few words of his writings one can tell " yeah his been down this road before"

There is a song that goes through my head that states "things I should do I don't things I say I will and I don't but my God has begun a work in that one day will be complete"

I guess the best way to sum up this step would be to take a line from an old hymn that says" My faith is based on nothing less than my Jesus and his righteousness on this solid rock I stand all other ground is just sinking sand"

I will continue to press towards the mark of the High calling of God

You know pw, I think of the Apostle Paul a little differently, let me see if I can share this without it coming out all weird. I believe that Paul had been through so many trials and tribulations that in the end it made Him change to be more Spiritually minded than anybody else in the Bible. He had the flesh, but He didn't wear the flesh...so to speak...that is what I think we all strive to do, allowing ever trial to bring a new layer to our Spiritual walk...every tribulation adding more Spiritual strength to us...so we can look at facing trials and tribulations as being more than "awful" times...we can look at it as being a growing time with God...

Enjoy the rest of the steps pw.

Step 9

Love is such an awesome thing, in which I openly admit I need more of. After reading this the Holy Spirit whispered to me " Love and Fear don't go together

Lord I repent for not using your wonderful gift of Love, in the right manner

Amen glad He whispered that to ya pw. See we become so afraid sometimes that it puts up walls around us where we become hardened to love...maybe it's because we've been hurt before and don't want to go through it again...but ya know...love doesn't hurt...it's actions that hurt us...love is good for you...and when you can love and let go...wow it's even more wonderful...Hope you try loving with all your heart soon.

Hi Prayer Warrior...

I don't remember if we've ever spoken before or not, but I am a two-week old member of this site. I am also going through the Step Counseling Program, but I just completed Step 6. I read all your posts and the replies up to step 7. I didn't go any further, because I want for it to be a surprise to me.

The reason I am writing now, is to thank you for posting your journey. Even though I don't know you, I can see that you are a COOL Crew Member, and it comforts me to know that even the more experienced believers on this site have struggles in their spiritual walk.

You are setting a great example for the rest of us by re-doing the 14 Step Program. I am encouraged to know that our guides and mentors on this site have problems too, and the fact that you are publicly going through the healing process makes me feel more determined to do better on my own spiritual journey.

I don't think I'm expressing very well what I am feeling, but just...thanks.

God bless you and your family *AngelYellow*

Small Town Girl . . . I think of Hebrews 5:2 >

"He can have compassion on those who are ignorant and going astray,
since he himself is also subject to weakness."

I find that so cool how even in your weakness God is reaching out to others. :)

1Pe 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

1Pe 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

1Pe 5:9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

1Pe 5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle [you].

1Pe 5:11 To him [be] glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

You have a friend and a sister that is lifting your entire family to the Lord. One that cares so greatly for each of you.

*hug* Missing you
