Hello, my brothers and sisters in Christ!

Thank you all for your prayers and kind comments posted here.

God worked another miracle yesterday!

Friends from church came over. The husband fixed my garden hose (my dog had chewed off the nozzle) and his wife put adhesive "treads" in my bathtub to keep me from slipping and falling.

Then they got these "slider" things and moved my bedroom furniture around so that everything is far more accessible.

Following all this, we drank iced coffee and played my favorite card game "Skip-Bo." It was fun---I won one out of three games---woo hoo!

And you know what else?

These friends from church (plus another friend from church) are coming over on Tuesday while I'm at my second chemo appointment. They are going to paint my kitchen, breakfast bar and dining area!

My friend is taking me to my chemo appointment, then she and her husband and our other friend will paint while I'm getting my cancer killed off, slowly by degrees. I'll come home to a new apartment!

From the paint swatches they brought over from Home Depot, I chose bright apple green. It's going to look so excellent! I love bright colors. They are so kind to do all these things for me . . . I'm humbled.

JESUS puts the love in our hearts!

Love and hugs---

Hello, my brothers and sisters in Christ---

I had Chemo #2 on June 9th.

The treatment has hit me harder in many ways: very nauseated and all that goes with that; having a problem with dizziness while walking; constant headache. Feel intensely fatigued, also.

I'm not complaining, just stating the facts.

Yesterday at the hospital, something was found, and I have to go back for a "punch biopsy" on June 18th. I hope it is benign.

My little cat, "Flossie Darling" stays right with me, day and night.

May our loving Heavenly Father continue to have mercy upon us all.

Thank you so much for your prayers!

Praise Report----I was having pain, which was an 8 in magnitude. The pain is gone! Thank You, Lord Jesus!

Love in Christ------

Pamela! I was about to post and ask if anyone had heard from you. Sorry the second chemo was worse. :( But I'm glad you are feeling better now.

Seems there is always something....don't know why God gives us so much to handle. But you know that He's got you in His loving arms.

Love you, Pamela! God is blessing and keeping you!

Good morning!

Thank you all for your prayers and posts. I appreciate every one of you.

I feel a tiny bit better this morning. Woke up at 1:30 a.m., was sick.

A new friend just called to see how I'm doing. That made me feel good.

Is there anyone in your life with whom you need to restore a friendship or relationship?

Love in Christ----------

PAMELA

chemo

Postby Sassy3 » Fri Jun 12, 2009 3:08 pm

Pamela, sorry to hear about the nausea, weakness, etc. that go with the treatments. Has your doctor prescribed anything to help fight the side effects?

On day one of my treatments, I prepared a little chart, numbered 1 to 30....and each day when a treatment was completed, I crossed that day off with a big red X....when I passed the halfway point...I told myself....we are on the downhill slide. YEAH

I tried to hide my sickness (from the treatments) from family & friends....did not want them to worry....silly me. But, like you, I had a cat who was my constant companion. Hovering over me the entire time was my sweet Jesus in the form of the Holy Spirit. Thank you, Lord.

October 24, 2003 is etched into my mind.....last treatment.

So, Pamela, hang in there. You can do it.

Hi, Debbie and everyone:

It is now 8 days past my second chemo treatment.

Yesterday, I felt OK enough to drive a short distance to pick up my prescription at the pharmacy, and get a sandwich and salad at Chick-Fil-A. I saw and spoke with a friend from church while at the restaurant. She indicated if I needed her to, she would drive me home, and have someone drive my vehicle home. Fortunately, this was not necessary.

I'm gathering endorsements for my upcoming book.

I received one endorsement yesterday, and will be getting the other one soon. Then I will submit my manuscript to the Director of Operations at my publisher.

After editing, my book will go to: Layout, Design, Production and Marketing.

Despite my having been diagnosed with advanced breast cancer recently, and still facing the upcoming bilateral modified radical mastectomy---this is a very exciting and hope-filled time in my life.

God's richest blessings upon you all.

Hugs-----

PAMELA

Pamela! Yaaaay! Glad to hear from you. :)

How exciting about your book! You will have to tell us the title of it, once it is published. May God bless you through the whole experience.

You sure know a lot of nice folks out there. God is taking care of you quite well. Your positive attitude helps too.

How come everyone in the United States has Chick-Fil-A except us?

*dunno*

No fair!

May God continue to bless and keep you, Pamela! Love ya lots!
