I may have a serious health condition which I discovered about two months ago.

In late December, I noticed a lump in my right breast about the size of a golfball.

I do not have health insurance, so I thought maybe it would go away on its own.

There is now pain in the location, as well as under my right arm. The mass has enlarged to about the size of a baseball.

I looked up the symptoms of breast cancer online. I have three of them.

Many people I know make a big deal out of nothing. I do the opposite---I try to make nothing out of a big deal.

I called three friends. No one answered. I don't have family. So I decided to post here.

I am scared.

Tonight, (at 9 pm) I will go to the County hospital ER.

Without insurance, and having been denied Medi-Cal on appeal by an administrative law judge, the County hospital will probably give me a prescription for pain medicine and send me on my way.

PLEASE pray that they will do much more to arrive at a conclusive diagnosis.

I'm going to eat, take a shower, and go to the County hospital ER---before 9 pm. I have already waited far too long due to not having health insurance.

Dear Show Forth,

in times like this it is hard to not be afraid, but remember that fear is not something that can't be overcome as long as you continue to keep your eyes on the Lord and not lose your faith, keep it strong. Your belief in the power of the Lord's healing hands and what they can provide. That strength will be within you always, because as we all know, all things are possible through Christ. So just believe in His strength and He will pull you through this and your fear will subside because His love will overwhelm your heart and your burdens will disappear. Hang on dear sister, hang onto His hand and feel His arms surrounding you, and you will never feel alone or afraid again. Please remember you are loved and never alone. We are all here for you, but most of all He is always right at your side. I will hold you in my prayers always.

Thank you all for your prayers.

I've just gotten home from the County Hospital.

The doctor found lumps in both breasts. The exam was intensely painful.

He has ordered an ultrasound and biopsy, and wrote me a prescription for Motrin and one for Vicodin, for the pain.

I will call tomorrow and get the ultrasound and biopsy scheduled.

I'll keep you all posted.

When I called the County Hospital Radiology Department to make an appointment, I was told that the ultrasound costs over $1,000.00 (I have no health insurance, and was denied Medi-Cal).

I was advised to apply for the hospital's Medically Indigent Services Program (MISP). I have been denied MISP THREE TIMES by the Hospital. I was denied the last time because they said I make 100 dollars a month over what they allow.

According to the MISP Application I printed, their income limitations have not changed from the last time I was denied MISP.

I will apply tomorrow for MISP. I am too angry to go there today. They will deny me again.

If I am denied MISP a FOURTH TIME, I cannot get the ultrasound or biopsy. If the lumps and pain are caused by cancer---I cannot get ANY medical treatment!

I feel very frustrated and very angry.

I have prayed for health insurance or MISP for 6 years!

I too am praying God will provide whether it be thru medical or spiritual healing no matter what Praise you keep ur Faith and seek God till He answers He does have an answer just have to believe in that and know when you done all you can that is I can do all things thru Christ and when you done so always keep it in Gods hands dont take it back and keep saying I will Trust to You to see me thru this ...

I know it sounds like maybe you have been doing that all along well now is the real test of Faith is to even Praise Him thru it and say you will Trust in His guidence now and knowing you will expect His guidence in this amen

I am here if you ever like to talk and this is just another one of them curve balls the enemie tries to steal our joy and focuus in what is our real purpose in this life and that is to share Christ daily Trust in the Lord and all He can do whether it be spiritual healing or sending another to help you or medical insurance of somekind ...

This is one thing we can be sure in is GOD amen you are in best hands ...

Dear Show Forth,

Try contacting your local Cancer Treatment Centers of America program, they do many tests and help many people with testing and treatments of all kinds. They can possibly help you get the tests you are needing to find out if you have cancer or not. They offer many programs and if they can't help, they may be able to refer you to someone that can too. I know of many people that have been through this organization and they have done wonders for them and helped them in many ways. I hope this helps in some way and I will continue to pray for you.
