Never forget that we ALL fall down as we sojourn down this Christian Walk. The trick is to get up and carry on fighting the good fight of FAITH. One of the greatest gifts that our Father gave to Christians is ... Fellow Christians. James 5:16 ... Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. YAY! The site seems to be working again.

mlg1279 wrote:So you made it to the parking lot for the meeting but decided it wasn't for you huh? So tell me...why isn't it for you? Someone who is taking that many meds....yeah you say they aren't illegal....but taking that many is more than what is prescribed...so what does that make it?

I started telling myself that same thing last night. The only difference that I can come up with is that I got mine legally in the first place.

Sis you have got to quit allowing lies to lead your life. Seek the Truth and let the Light shine in and bring you out of the darkness your in.

luv ya so very much sis

But if I face the truth, then I have turned out to be the person that everyone said I'd be.

My mother always told me how lucky I should feel because she and my father adopted me and rescued me from foster care so now I wouldn't grow up to be a druggie, alcoholic prostitute. The said if I wasn't careful then I'd wind up like my birth mother. She was a druggie, alcoholic prostitute who severely beat her kids. The only difference between my birth mother and I is that I never abused my kids.

That reality sucks. I'd rather go back to my lifestyle of just being a normal woman doing the best that she can to raise her children in a Christian home ..... well, there is only one left at home.

Roberta, Roberta, Roberta ...

I got my driver's licence, legally
I got my whisky legally
I also got my DUI .... LEGALLY !! and the 2nd & 3d , all legally

Everyone I knew , knew the truth about me , I knew the truth about me, the only difference between them and me was that they were talking about it, and I wasn't, and They, were getting better.

The only time I got help and got BETTER , is when I talked about it. ....(to others- not myself !!)

Roberta, you know I see how you try and self justify things...by lieing to yourself. But you know what else I see. The fear of what others think about you. Well don't think about what man thinks of you...think of what God thinks of you. He loves you and He wants to see His little girl well again. Another thing, you are not like your mom...you know why? Cuz your mom left you to be adopted by others...whereby you are a good mom who loves her children. So you are sick from meds and such that you need to clean from your life....well do something about it!! Go to those meetings...get off the meds.

Pray and ask God to give you the strength to begin attending the meetings. He will. You know why? Cuz He needs you to help Him. The Lord has a plan for your life, but until you can begin healing...but right now your pushing Him away by not trying.

luv ya sis

I went to the meeting. I didn't say anything though.

She didn't leave me. The state of SC took me and my sister away from her.

At least you made the step to be there. Hope you plan on going to one every day this week.

As far as the state taking you away....it's more like your mom abandoned your care or the state would not have had to remove you.....it's not the state's fault....it's not your fault.

luv ya sis *hug* Hope your day is a deLIGHTful one.

The state took us away because she was abusive. They stuck us in foster homes and orphanages that were even more abusive. They let us be adopted by a couple who wasn't as abusive, but they were pretty bad parents still.

I can understand your painful childhood.
I wasn't taken away and should have been.
All the questions and whys.
You were a child, you were not responsable.
Bringing into light can cause the pain to be so great you want to shove it back into darkness.
Drag it out into the light so Jesus can heal it.
You mom was lost and hurting as well. She was in need of an understanding of Gods love for her.

God can make good of even this, he has for me. :)
I can rejoice in what I went through because it's brought me closer to him and helped me to feel the hurt others feel.
You will one day rejoice in what you went through because You will be free from the pain it causes you.

You are in my prayers Roberta
God bless you! *hug*
