And the walls come a tumblin down :)

This forum is for those souls 18 years and older who are dealing with some type of addictive behavior whether it be from alcohol, drugs, overeating, fear, worry, sex, etc. Only with help and guidance from God can we ever hope to overcome these addictions. What is impossible for us to do IS POSSIBLE with God. Friends and family of those stricken with addictions are welcome to share as this problem affects more than just the soul entangled in its web.

Good day, my friends!

As I was sitting here taking a rare break at work, was thinking about authenticity in one's life. Real frequently has talked about being real and true to yourself, others, and most important your Father. Authenticity is somewhat a synonym for real... taking a look at how authentic you are in various arenas of your life...

Authenticity means keep evaluating... are you honest and real to others as much as you are to Him? And those walls... whether they come from shame, guilt, sadness, fill in the blank _____ What DOES it take to chip them away, break them down, and rebuild your castle?

Personally I can write with big words and metaphors just as much as the next Christian trying to lead those to the truth, but simply, its hard for someone keep leading a double life, to keep up with two masters while you keep running into those walls. To be authentic is to dig deep inside your soul and ask the Holy Spirit for the tools. Faith, Hope, Trust, Assertion, Discretion, and of course, Love. He is always there waiting, patient and nonjudgemental, and I don't know about you guys, but to me that is the most awesome definition of authenticity I've ever known.

So... hope to see you at real solutions on Weds so we can work on this together with our Father...
