CHARITY REMOVES SINS

Greetings fellow Christians,

I do hope that those who are reading the posts in this forum are heeding the words that are being shared by those who have been there, done that and have hundreds of t-shirts to prove it (Not to mention physical and emotional scars)

I hope you are applying the seeds of TRUTH to your life which were obtained and shared by these fellow Christians who are to be examples for those who are on the same path or considering venturing into the darkness that these SIGN POSTS of God are sharing about.

I have seen many methods suggested in this forum on how to deal with one's OWN pain in an effort to heal these wounds of the soul. They are all TRUTH. But, I want to share another secret recipe with you. This one was handed down from generation to generation by those who were here before us and have now passed the torch on to us.

Many souls seek to be healed within immediately so very intensely that when they fall, guilt consumes them and they find no peace. This guilt then creates circumstance for yet another fall. The weakened state of the soul falls victim to this trap of the mind. This becomes a habit. So tell me my friends ... How does one overcome such guilt as to end this vicious cycle?

The TRUTH can always be found in God's Word.

SEEK and ye shall FIND ...

James 5:20 ... Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.


1 Peter 4:7-8 ... But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.


We know that these words speak not of the sin being hidden from GOD as God sees not the sin, once we repent and it is forgiven ... It is as far away as the East is from the West.

So who is the sin being hidden from when we help convert a sinner from the error of their way by acts of Charity by sacrificing our time to help them? It is being hidden from the soul of the one holding the sin. It leaves our mind and heart and we lose the GUILT by way of Charity and Love.

So in order to heal your soul ... Show another how to heal theirs.

Amen, Oasis... haven't heard that 1Peter scripture in a while... although I haven't shared much in here yet on my scars and soul I can say that guilt appears to me to be one of the main reasons Christians are sometimes hesitant to share with others. That as well as shame creates not only the wall between Christians in recovery and their brothers and sisters, but also the wall between them and God.

Thinking one could never help another because of their own baggage (aka sin) is something I at first thought when I really started in recovery. On the contrary it is so freeing to allow the Holy Spirit in to work through you to another in need. Helped me to remember His grace as well and that we are all here for the same reason... to have a closer relationship with God and to learn from the falls
