A Ray of Hope

This forum is for those souls 18 years and older who are dealing with some type of addictive behavior whether it be from alcohol, drugs, overeating, fear, worry, sex, etc. Only with help and guidance from God can we ever hope to overcome these addictions. What is impossible for us to do IS POSSIBLE with God. Friends and family of those stricken with addictions are welcome to share as this problem affects more than just the soul entangled in its web.

A Ray of Hope

Sometimes when we are in our darkest hour, all we can see is the dark. We can not see God at work, shining His light into our darkness

We are pressed on every side
by troubles, but we are not crushed.
We are perplexed,
but not driven to despair.
We are hunted down,
but never abandoned by God.
We get knocked down,
but we are not destroyed. 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (NLT

God had a plan, as He always does. His plan is to give us "beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness" (Isaiah 61:3).

Jesus came..that might have LIFE..we can move on..never never ever give up hope

God loves you..and so do we

trained to be shattered
and shatter herself from within
she turns
she looks away

and gone is she

to no place on earth
to no place at all
the longing not to be
took over

and how do we know where she went
and how do we know where we'll go
when no-one remembers
and the terror takes us in

we're so afraid
and non-existing seems filled
with sweet promises
of no more guilt

to where do we turn
to whom do we ask
for identity
we lack it so much

do we suffer?
do we live?
Isaiah 55:8
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

My resolution for today, next month, and years to come is to be further from the world and closer to the Word.
