Day three with the ex

This forum is for those souls 18 years and older who are dealing with some type of addictive behavior whether it be from alcohol, drugs, overeating, fear, worry, sex, etc. Only with help and guidance from God can we ever hope to overcome these addictions. What is impossible for us to do IS POSSIBLE with God. Friends and family of those stricken with addictions are welcome to share as this problem affects more than just the soul entangled in its web.

Day three with the ex

Postby goldieluvs » Mon May 19, 2008 4:02 pm

Well. we have survived three days together. It has been an adjustment as I have been used to living by myself with my dogs. So far, he is being true to his word. He cut the grass Saturday, he has taken out the trash, he has helped with dishes. He has even been coming to the table for supper. Hes sleeping on the couch. He has been here and hasnt wandered off for any length of time. I dunno how much money he has and that may be the reason why but am hoping and praying its because he is real this time about staying clean and getting his life back on track. He has an interview tomorrow and i put in a prayer request on the prayer boards. He needs a job that he can feel good about and not be around people who r using. Well, i just thought i would update yall. I stopped at the grocery store and after picking up some food, i bought myself flowers for the kitchen table. Thank you all for listening to me.. GBU all.. Luv you, Goldie *hug*

Is he a Christian? Sounds like a good time to start hinting around or planting seeds as we call it. ;)

My resolution for today, next month, and years to come is to be further from the world and closer to the Word.

goldie,
Sounds like things may be looking up. It touched me that you bought yourself some flowers to put on the table. You deserve to be good to yourself. I am also proud that he is taking responsibility doing chores around the house helping you out. maybe his job will come thru.
Tell him he has an unknown friend who is praying and thinking of him as i have been there too. tell him i am proud that he has a desire to stay clean and God will help him in the hard times.

May God's will be done.
Thanks again for sharing. It brightened my day.

Luv ya,

Real
