Day 9

Postby megandee » Mon Apr 07, 2008 10:58 am

Again more awsome Christian counseling encouragement. Praise God. He gets sweeter and sweeter as the days go by. O what a love between my Lord and I. Words from a hym, as a lot of you are familiar with.
I thought it was neat, that day 9 pointed out number 40. In my first entry in the blog journal, I wrote that I felt forty was going to be full of blessings and prosperity for the Lord. I knew about some of the Bible events that had forty in then, but not all of them. I just think it's cool, that all.
I am continuing to grow and be encouraged daily in the Lord. God is really blessing us one day at a time. Last night we worked on our bills and check book and got all caught up. Today, I start the new job, so that will help us stay caught up, and be able to make a budget.
I am growing in a lot of areas. A lot to do with my thought patterns. Also, Let go and Let God and Forgive and Forget. God is Good! All the Time!
Of course filling my mind with the scripture is a huge help. I also came across a saying this last week by: Joni Eareckson Tada: "Faith isn't the ability to believe long and far into the misty future. It's simply taking God at His word and taking the next step." That has really helped me grow in Faith. Instead of trying to figure out how we will get through life and it's challenges, I am focusing on having faith in God by reading His word, applying it to my life and believing it. Trusting that God has a plan, and will reveal it to me one day at a time. This quote by Joni helped to remember what faith really is, and put my faith in God and God alone. Thank you Jesus. Amen

I like that quote about faith :) very pretty. I know it can be so hard to trust when we cannot see a way out ourselves, but I think God has a pretty good track record :) He is faithful and when Im having trouble trusting, I think back to those times when He has provided a way for me. Thank You Lord.
