Christianity Oasis Forum

This forum is for those who are 18 years of age or older. This forum is a sanctuary for those who are experiencing trials and tribulation and seek words of wisdom, comfort and TRUTH from fellow Christians who have experienced similar trials and tribulation and have overcome them. Never forget that we ALL fall down as we sojourn down this Christian Walk. The trick is to get up and carry on fighting the good fight of FAITH. One of the greatest gifts that our Father gave to Christians is ... Fellow Christians. James 5:16 ... Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much ...

Day 8

Controlling your thoughts isn't as easy as one might think, especially since we live in a fast paste world. The enemy often counts on us getting in a hurry so that we don't take time to think about what we are about to do or say.

Many times if happens before you realize it, cause the devil is very good at making something look like the real thing.. cause just because it feels right to the heart doesn't mean that is it right.

Only the Spirit of the Truth can help you with discerning of what is right and what is not. Doing this study has taught me to take things at a slower paste, and not to rush into things.

After pulling weeds it feels so good to finally be able to be planting some good seeds. Now I must apply some fertilzer and watch them grow.

Heavenly father help me to take things at a slower paste so that I don't miss anything that you want me to see............

Day 9

Making Life changes, so many battle with this very thing of not knowing when to start or even how. As I read this study I was thinking wow I know I have some changes that need to be made. That seems to be the biggest step of all is admitting that you have some things that need to be changed. Pride and ole self likes to team up and try to convience you that you are fine just the way you are. Usually that is the first sign that there are so changes to be made.

You never realize whats lying in between you and God untill you stop long enough to smell the roses and look around. Once you slow down long enough to notice everything there are many things that need changing.

God grant me the screnity to accept the things I cannot change
The couarge to change the things I can
And the Wisdom to know the difference ....In Jesus Name Amen

Day 10

The Desires of my heart,

A minister asked me once when I was a little boy, if the Lord gave me the desires of my heart what would they be. I gave him my reply and for the longest time I stood on that even into adulthood. God granted me what I ask for but somehow it never was what I thought it would be. After reading tonight's lesson the thought has come to me that maybe God granted it to me because he loved me. Then I started thinking maybe the Desires of my heart was not the desires of God's heart for me. If that is true then maybe what he granted me was not the will of God but rather what I wanted.

Its so fitting that this stepping stone is on prayer cause it seems that God and me have somethings to talk about. Many that come here ask me about my user name "prayerwarrior". When I came here over a year ago I ask the Lord what name did I need to use, he told me prayerwarrior. I was so amazed at that answer cause my description of a prayerwarrior was not me. Now as I think about it, maybe God was and is doing what the lesson talked about patiently leading me in the direction that he wanted me. Since coming here a year ago my Christian life has changed, I have and am learning things that I would not have learned anywhere else.

I find myself with such a burden for the lost and those that have been hurt by the world and those that have been hurt because something that they heard in church or by another christian. So having said all of that I guess I have taken on the heart of a prayerwarrior.

In my life..........God's will be done

Day 12

No more Truth was ever spoken than in Step 12, we fall down, but Thank God we are able to get up by applying his grace to our lives. Many people struggle with forgiving themselves cause they think I should have known better, how could I have fallen for that. It is very simple we are human, we are born unto sin and we will fall. However by applying the Grace of God we find strength to get up and go on.

Just like step 12 was saying there have many good people in the bible and some even you know personally that have fallen but made such an awesome impact on Christianity after they got back up. Look at what an awesome work Paul did after he made his calling, Paul always suffered with the thorn in his side because he was always concerned that he had done enough good to out weigh the bad he did. God reassured him by simply telling him........My Grace is sufficient

Thank you mighty God for your Grace

Day 13

Love and Chairity one of my most favorite subjects.....

I never witnessed Love so defined as it is here in the Oasis, ever since the first time I came here over 1 year ago. I have been to places where the Love was put on by oblication, kinda what you get when you go to a car lot.

Here the Love of God is well rooted and grounded, it is so comforting coming into chat and been greeted by everyone like you are somebody cause you are somebody you are a child of God and a fellow brother and sister in Christ.

I Thank God for the seed of Love that was planted in my soul when I first came here and I pray that it keeps growing and growing and putting forth fruit.

Luv ya

Day 14

Awesome Study absolutely Awesome,

I have to say My garden is in much better shape than it was before I started this study. However I know there is still room for improvement, and with the help of the Comforter I will be working on it as I continue down this path.

What is really awesome is now I have some new good habits that will help me as I continue down this path to keep me where I should be.

Thank You Mighty God for this Awesome study
