Modelbuilder's Journal Day 11
My beautiful wife and I really like the movie Galaxy Quest and in various situations have said to each other "Never give up, never surrender!" and said it at the same time no less. To truly receive her love I have to surrender to it as she has to surrender to my love. I know why I love her, I see such a wonderful lady and incredible work of God in her but why she loves me - that is another question for which I have no answer - I just have to surrender to it. God very much uses why wife to "pet" me. It is hard not to run off and I need to learn to stay put.
It says in the Psalms "Be still and know that I am God." and I think that part of what God wants me to realize is that he loves me, be still and let me "pet" you "cat." Being still before God is to surrender running away with various distractions, being still inside is to surrender distractions again and something more, something that the name for it eludes me, but when that things is surrendered it allows one to come even closer to God. Is not that where we want and long to be, closer to the heart of God.
It just occurred to me that you have to trust the one you surrender to, you have to trust that they will treat you right. A marine would not surrender to someone, some foe he knew was just going to kill him. There would be no hope in that situation to live on. He would fight on to the death with the hope it would be them that do the dying. You have to have a certain level of trust in the one to whom you will surrender to. Blessings to you all.
PS. Two things, 1) my son goes to the doctor tomorrow, he seems to be doing fine but we want to know what is going on with him. 2) Where do you post after the 14 days are up, as a continuation of the journaling that is, and does anyone wish that I continue to do so?

You can start a forum topic. On the forum page, pick a category - probably you want Called Christians. But you choose. And then you start your topic. YOu can lock it if you don't want replies. I never do that - I like to hear what other people have to say. Prayers for your son. Let us know what it was. I pray that you find the cause.
God bless.
You can also continue in the Spirit lesson that goes on for another 14 days if you like.
