karebear journal day 11

Postby karebear » Thu Jan 01, 2015 5:13 pm

I am going to change one of my Miracle Grow activities to spending time with the Holy Spirit. Spending time with and surrendering to Him. I have a friend that never wanted to offend any one person of the Trinity, so she prays all her prayers to all three. I always thought it was sweet.
I am struggling today. My thoughts are bordering on hopeless and I know I have to replace them with truth...but they feel like truth right now. New day, new year...and it does not look like anything will be any different, and it may not. It may not but He can change me even if everything else remains the same.
Surrender. But my motto is "never give up, never surrender" Lol. I want to see the change happening, see things open up, see what is new and exciting on the horizon...and He sends me a cardinal. I love cardinals and He sends them to remind me that He loves me, He knows what I like and need, and that He is working. You can't miss them. They certainly don't blend in with this grey world, and when everything is cold, white, silent and frozen - they are the most vibrant and beautiful.
He will thaw my winter, in His way and His time, and He will continue to show me His beauty no matter what the season or circumstance.

I love cardinals too. I haven't seen any for a while. I did have a family that lived here in my yard. I hope they still do.

Sometimes we don't see the cheerful things because we forget to look.
