Stepping stone #2

Postby wonder777 » Wed Dec 18, 2013 9:38 pm

Step two is about patience. Why we are to do the steps one at a time. I often either too impulsive or impatient or I hold back too often. I like the analogy to weeding a garden and applying fertilizer. Too much at once can kill it. It's all in the mind. Satan's favorite playground. Attempting to bring us down from within. Weeding the garden of our mind has to be a daily process, getting them out as they emerge and as many as possible.
I'm in the process now of starting to learn to fend for myself. And the weeds are the frustrations brought about from the realities of life. Responsibilities I never had to handle myself before and asking for help when needed. It has to be the shame issue spreading into other areas of my life. For me, it's all mental, that mindset that needs to be shaken off. God bless Wonder. *hug*

Hey wonder...great to see ya on step 2. Yep those pesky weeds....always seem to pop up so fast....and they multiply like wildfire if you don't get right on them, and start to pull them out. I think the best way to work on weeding your garden is to realize what a weed is as soon as you think it. This comes with practice. You may not get it the first day...or even the first month....but if you keep working at it with God...you will get it...and then what peace you will have. The past can often be a huge weed....and it will creep into the present...and overtake anything good that comes about....so work on the weeds that have been growing for awhile and then you will find them to be less and less.

Keep working through the steps.

Take care
Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.
