Step 1

Well Im just starting and this is step one. I kinda keep things locked up in my mind at times and shut all the things going on around me. I have rededicated my life back to God after falling back and I came across these topics of study. So where do I start? Well I am the only one saved in my family and I just want to sometimes do the opposite of christ and knock them upside their heads. My health is not where I want it to be and have made the decision to finally go to the doctor for the 3rd or 4th time since september. I have not allowed it to be real and I have been stuffing what I've seen for 4 months, and having to acknowledge it rather than taking something and everything goes aways has not been easy. I tend to avoid things and have trouble because I'm so used to trouble or pain in my life that to completely let it go is tough for me. I need to learn to trust and show that I myself can be trusted in return, I just find it easier to trust others after I really know that they are trust worthy.

Congratulations on taking the first step!

Acknowledging you have a difficult time letting God take control is good, this is truly the first step. God, our Father, wants us to turn to Him in our time of need. Why? Because what else do children do? They turn to their parents for support and advice. The wonderful thing about God is He created us and He wants us to recognize Him. I was told once, very recently, that our true purpose of us being here on Earth is to Glorify God. I'm trying to learn how to do that myself. Reaching out is helpful.

Again, congratulations on taking that first step!

Buried troubles come back. And if you haven't been cherished in childhood - that is another set of troubles.

Jesus loves you. Making you all better in a moment would be a miracle - and it wouldn't teach you - so that usually doesn't happen. There is a process to it. The counseling is a good start.

If you want to talk about the buried stuff - this is a great place to do so.

Welcome. Jesus loves you very much.
Hugs,
Dema
