MY EYES REST UPON JESUS, MY LORD AND SAVIOR
I once was lost, but then, Jesus found me and changed my life
There are too many people hurting in this world for us, the Church, not to heed this call that would have us be the hands that reach to hurting, to those who are lost. Everyone has been called by the Father for a specific purpose. Jesus ministered to people from all walks of life, and the love that He shows us, that love is what inevitably draws us to Him. For who else can love us like Jesus has so loved us? Jesus loves you, and YOU were born because HE wanted YOU to be born. It doesn't matter what anyone else wanted, because everything must bow to God's will. When Jesus was baptized God said that He was well pleased with His son, and Jesus, even when He was facing His death, He too submitted to His Father's will. EVERYTHING will submit to God's will...and this all comes back to one simple fact. Jesus is coming back, but He hasn't come back NOW for a reason. There are still so many who do not know this truth, and I can't imagine the pain that God must feel when ONE soul is lost....forever. Not lost for a few years, not lost for a time, but for ALL of eternity. When one soul is saved, all of heaven rejoices. I pray that we, those who have accepted the Truth that is Jesus, may begin to ask God what is it that He would have us do—because if everyone were to do this in the Body of Christ, I know that Church would come into a new period in its history. If we keep our eyes on Christ Jesus, and just let Him use us completely, without any reservations...well wouldn't that be a miracle?
We are living in a special time today. We have to be diligent,, and remember to put on the armor of God. We have been made brothers and sisters in Christ. We are apart of a bigger family! The truth has set us free! There is that song that says, "Let us come back into the Heart of Worship." Do you remember when you accepted Jesus into your heart and life? Do you remember the passion that you had...or that you have? I know that Jesus has a way of uniting people from different walks of live together. He brings people who have known Him for twenty, thirty, years and new born believers...and God's purpose unfolds before our eyes. I share this love that HAS SET ME FREE. I have been set free brother, sisters, through the grace of God, and by the blood of Jesus Christ. I feel with each passing day that we are drawing closer and closer to that time when our Lord will come back. We must examine ourselves, and if we need to, we must repent, but we must be honest with ourselves. Jesus accepts us, broken as we are. He LOVES US. I have been redeemed, been made blameless by the blood of Jesus, and it is because of this love that humbles me that I feel the need to be the hands that God works through.
I rejoice in being able to share God’s love to people. I can literally talk about God’s love for hours, and while I don’t know exactly where God is taking me, I still feel that NEED, that burning desire to serve God. I love this season of my life. I have this time to dedicate my time, my heart, my thoughts, and my whole life to God. Now, when God saved me and my mother I knew that God would also save my family. Has that happened yet? No, God has started a GOOD work in me and I have faith in Him to do what He has promised me that He would do. I don’t know how long it might take, but I believe that when God saves one member of a household, that God already has it ALL figured out. I recently made the mistake of allowing the situation that was in front of me to so overwhelm me that I forgot this important promise that God made to me. This cause is dear to my heart because I once was lost, and now I am found. I always had a heart that wanted to know more about God, but if it hadn't been a friend from my mother’s work, I wouldn't have been able to go to church. This is why...I want to be the hands that God works through.
This post here is very compact, but it expresses a lot of what is in my heart.

Re: MY EYES REST UPON JESUS, MY LORD AND SAVIOR
Thank you God for this little sister who's wisdom and knowledge bears such good fruit!
Paloma,
I relate to you so well as we kind of have some similarities in God calling us to Him as young girls except I was a prodigal daughter. I too could talk about God for hours, in fact I heard it said that people like us are usually very alone because nothing else fills us the way He does and its hard to find people who could talk about God as long as we could. I'm not saying this to offend other brothers and sisters I just know exactly what you mean! Keep sharing with us, you truly are a blessing from the Lord.
In Christ,
Shan

Re: MY EYES REST UPON JESUS, MY LORD AND SAVIOR
Thank you for your warm response! I do like helping people too, and while I do want to be an instrument that is ready to be used by God, I have always realized that yes, I do enjoy my quiet time with God. I understand completely that no one can understand me like God does, and knowing that is great! It helps you understand that...that's what God intended. When we try to explain ourselves to other, God is almost saying, "I made you, I know you! Come talk to me about your problems," but instead of going to Him, we try to have other people listen to the problems that God already so intimately knows. I am very happy to hear (read) that you can relate to me.
From one sister to another, God Bless!
