New here and in Need of Christian friends
Hello everyone. like i said i'm new here. i'm a college student so as you can imagine it can be difficult to keep a Godly focus especially when the only thing to do is go clubbing, which i have not and refuse to do. BUt I am the only one of my friends who is a Christian and i am also very shy so i spend a lot of time by myself. . Which isn't the best since i'm still dealing with loss of my sister whom i stayed in the hospital with for three weeks and then held her hand as she was taken off of lifesupport and died. i never got used to the fact that she isn't home and never will be when i come home from college so i break down and cry a lot. . so yeah thats where i am at now and what brought me to search for an online christian group and look forward to making friends here.

Hi Knightly91,
God bless you. He loves you, and as the previous posters said, it is highly likely that He deliberately led you here.
You've been through the toughest of times, to say the least.
As a side issue, it's a tough situation that with your friends who are not Christians, and it's great you are being strong and not going clubbing with them.
Romans 12:2, 'And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, in order to prove by you what is that good and pleasing and perfect will of God.'
While it may not be necessary to part company with your current friends, I will pray to The Lord that he help you to make friendships with other Christians in the area as well. It's really important. But I'm sure that you know that if you stick with Him, and I think you will because you wouldn't be here if you didn't want to go God's path, then His will shall be done in your life in every way, despite the unbearably painful times that you have suffered.
All the best. Would be nice if you could find the time to keep us posted on this thread.

Hi Knightly,
Yes, I can imagine that college life can be tough especially when you are the only Christian or you have worldy friends. I do ask that God will send you godly Christians in your path to encourage you. There are many good people here in the forums and chat rooms so you will also meet new friends. Sorry to hear about your sister. This can be tough to go through. Keep only the good memories, these are the best.
May God bless you.

God is everlasting. Trials and tests are not everlasting. They will come to an end. God's love will never end. For He is eternal.

Oh, my, Knightly! you've gone through so much at your young age! I'll be praying for your healing and that of your family as well. I'm very sorry to hear about all that you are going through. Yes, you'll always keep your sister in your heart. If you haven't already done so, it'll take some time for you to say your farewells to her. I'll be praying for your peace. I'm so glad you are here. I've also lost a loved one many years ago. I feel your pain.

Re: New here and in Need of Christian friends
It sounds like you were very close to your sister. I know you miss her and
are hurting. How easy it would be to follow your friends and hit the clubs.
But you're making a mature and smart choice not to do that.
Have you looked into visiting churches that have a college age ministry?
Being around supportive Christians like the ones on this site and at a local
church may be a great step towards healing.
I will keep you in my prayers. As someone else suggested, please
do keep us posted on how you are doing.

Re: New here and in Need of Christian friends
I am so sorry for your loss! I will be praying for you. Does your college have any Christian clubs or groups on campus? That's how I met most of my friends in college. I don't know what I would have done without the group!
