Trying to get Right w/ God. Day 12

Postby itsjanet » Tue Nov 13, 2012 7:14 pm

I'M RIGHT WITH GOD BY GRACE.

I've fallen deep. The situation looked like the pits. Still not sure how I'm going to get out of the mess. My situation with inlaws is still upside down. I apologized, not sure where to go next. Other areas in my life is a bit foggy as well. Thanksgiving is right around the corner. I feel bad about causing a raucous. If I just turned a blind eye to certain behaviors, my relationship with inlaws would not be awkward. I have my regrets.

Direct quote from Stepping Stone #12: "Remember this about miracles, if you're not asking for something that seems impossible … you're not asking for enough."

Our God reigns. I'm right with God by grace. I'm forgiven by God. I'll let you know what happens next. ;) Have a great day!

Hi Janet, I don't try to give "advice" to often. I try to encourage and share some scripture. Bear with me on this and if you don't feel peace within, IGNORE IT. Why not just go over on thanksgiving and just be the person you are. Be nice, who said anyone has to remember past problems. I don't know how many people will be there, but generaly everyone is on their best behavior. AND IF IT IS BROUGHT UP, SIMPLY TELL THEM YOU LOVE THEM AND HOPE THAT EVERYONE CAN FORGET THE PAST, AND LEAVE IT AT THAT. THE LESS WORDS THE BETTER. YOU DON'T HAVE TO GIVE ANY EXPLANATIONS. Rom 12:20 “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.” I assume you have to go over there, so make the best of it. If you know it's probally going to be bad, at least you'll be expecting it. Kill em with kindness, what do you have to lose? You say your temper? Just as God bragged on Job, I think He wants to brag on you. Make Him proud. Be prepared to give a godly answer. 2 Cor 12:9,10 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. Praying for you, Jimf
