Trying to get Right w/ God. Day 8

Postby itsjanet » Thu Nov 08, 2012 1:32 pm

It's so easy to be a Christian in this site. God's love is pouring through each individual here. We are reminded that our sins are forgiven, God is great. In here, we remind ourselves and each other that we are children of God. Then when we logout and shut-down our computer, trials and tribulations can begin to kick in.

We are approached by family members who are difficult to love. We are reminded of thoughts that once boiled our blood. Our worldly situations can seem real and stir doubt. I'm once again reminded to approach these matters with God's love. I sheepishly failed yesterday. I loved those who were easy to love, but still carried bitterness towards those who I found challenging.

Today is a new day. I'll pray to cast away fear and doubt about the outcome, but walk with God in every circumstance. "Yea thou I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil for thou art with me." I'll pray that God can change those who are hurting and suffering. Let the inflictions of pain that was once inflicted me end with God's love and continue to let God reign in my life.

God Bless you all! I'm praying for you!

Hi itsjanet, Before I write, I want you to know that I have read your post to heart2instruction. History repeated itself ? And now I read "I sheepishly failed yesterday". I DON'T THINK SO! You willingly (or obediently) went into a situation which you KNEW would probally bring you pain. Kinda felt like a cross, didn't it? How can you see this as failure? Are you expecting your "feelings" to change immediatly? They don't always do. Feelings are deceptive. Some mornings when I wake up, I don't feel married, I dont feel loving and as a matter of fact, some mornings I wake up and I DON'T FEEL SAVED! Feelings are the opposite of faith (trust), they cannot be trusted. The enemy (the accuser) loves it when we allow feelings to dictate our life. He reminds us of every one of our failures and everything that others have done. Do not judge by what others say. I had a wonderful "feeling" because of forgiveness, but it is not like that all of the time. This man was my spiritual father, He led me and my wife to the Lord, He baptized us and He discipled me. Unlike you, I didn't go to him, it was a chance (God ordained) meeting. Unlike you, I didn't have time to count the cost (I may have backed out). I ADMIRE YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE. YOU ARE FAITHFUL. DO NOT ALLOW THE ACCUSER TO ROB YOU OF KNOWING HOW MUCH YOU PLEASED YOUR FATHER. If the inlaws don't recieve your asking for forgivess, DO NOT WORRY. You have done your part. NOW ITS TIME FOR GOD TO DO HIS, AND REST ASSURED HE WILL. YOU ARE ONLY RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR FAITH AND OBEDIENCE, NOT THE OUTCOME. I see that you are not only investing in your own spiritual life, you are also investing in others through this site. Keep up the good work. 2 Tim 1:14 Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you—guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us. Grace and peace Jimf

Thank you, Jimf, for your encouragement. I needed to hear that "Feelings are deceptive." I feel as if I just experience a spiritual warfare and the spiritual battle might not be over, and God most likely isn't done with me yet...thanks for reminding me that I shouldn't check out yet.
