Step 12
It amazes me that these steps are right on target. This step talks about falling down - and getting back up. That is the problem, falling or failing. I hate to fail and when I fail multiple times in the past - I got tired of "not being perfect" and just sat down. I have apologized to God so so many times for not being that perfect Christian - it sorrows me to NOT be that perfect person. The truth is: I will never be that PERFECT christian BUT I AM A CHRISTIAN AND GOD KNOWS EXACTLY WHERE I AM IN THE PATH!!!!! I don't want to be that perfect christian anymore because if I don't see my faults anymore then I have quit looking and have a mask covering what I need to see.
When I see my faults (not failures), I need to see that it is an area of improvement which may or may not happen right away but it is an area to improve upon.
Funny - I just gave this speech to my 30 year old daughter yesterday. LOL

Re: Step 12
"When people fail, we are inclined to find fault with them, but if you look more closely, you will find that God had some particular truth for them to learn, which the trouble they are in is to teach them."
"Proud people focus on the failures of others and can readily point out those faults. Broken people are more conscious of their own spiritual need than of anyone else's."
"Christ did not die simply that you might be saved from a bad conscience, or even to remove the stain of past failure, but to "clear the decks" for divine action."
"Remember that failure is an event, not a person."
"Our peace and confidence are to be found not in our empirical holiness, not in our progress toward perfection, but in the alien righteousness of Jesus Christ that covers our sinfulness and alone makes us acceptable before a holy God."
"I would go to the deeps a hundred times to cheer a downcast spirit. It is good for me to have been afflicted, that I might know how to speak a word in season to one that is weary.
For every discouragement has been allowed to come to us in order that through it we may be cast in utter helplessness at the Saviour's feet."
God bless, i enjoy your posts....

Revelation 3:20
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
