back pain

Postby Christnundrconstruxn » Sat Jul 14, 2012 11:47 pm

I come to you for prayer of my lower back *Pray*
I have been dealing with this pain for almost a full week and no relief OR meds,
they gave me some kinda shot that has not made ANY difference and they gave me some pills that are equal
to the power of m&m's *Doh*
I can barely move and have taken all week off last week and monday is creeping up fast *dunno*
I am going stir crazy cause I cannot do anything and went to the store earlier and by the time I got back home
I was almost doubled over in pain
I did manage to do 1 load of laundry but still got 2 more and a dirty house and hayfield for a yard (needs mowed)
I need healing and apperently the doctors can't seem to figure out how to do that, I have been to the chiro 4 times last week as well as urgent care on friday cause of the pain to NO avail

Please anyone willing to pray for me I would DEEPLY appreciate it, thank you and God bless
Cuc *Wave*

I hope you are better by now. You've probably figured out by now that I say a prayer (prayers) but then I also try to give practical advice. I know it isn't in the Bible that God helps those who help themselves and that it even seemingly contradicts, when we are weak, then he is strong, however, there is a certain grain or bushel of truth in that old saying as well.

You probably know a lot of this - do stomach strengthening exericses - crunches and bent knee leg lifts - nothing straight legged and nothing where you come all the way up. Just lying on the floor and lifting your head off the floor can be helpful.

Do it slow. Do a very few - maybe three - and see how you wake up the next morning. Your doctor probably gave you a sheet of strengthening exercises - do those forever. And find stronger ones - get some handweights.

Take it slow. If you have a belly, then that is also a risk for heart trouble. They have found that the same person can be an apple or a pear. Worrying tends to move us towards apples. I was more applish during my divorce. Losing even 5 lbs of belly can take strain off your back.

And learn how to lift. Make sure your knees are bent and your back is straight when you lift. If you feel your backbone with your shoulders in different positions you can tell how slopy shoulders make your bones stick out - they are unprotected by muscles. This tends to strain muscles more as well. When you put your shoulders back, your muscles hug your backbone and protect it. Bending the knees does some of that too - but some of the bend the knee advantage is invisible.

Don't pretend you are a twenty year old he-man if you aren't. rofl. Ask for help.

God bless you. I appreciate you.
Hugs,
Dema

Dear bro Real, Thank you!!

And My sweet sis Dema.... *hug* you are so just that.....sweet *BigGrin*
I appreciate you as well and your kind words, as for the exercising and stretching you hit it right on the head.....my head rofl
Seriously I do need to do all this but I have learned that I have lost the curve in my lower back and I also have an issue with the space between the last 2 disc in my lower back, it is half the size it is supposed to be and with that and the nerve that runs between them is being pinched and that is the cause of most of my pain, BUT I also have a issue with my muscles being and staying tight ( I actually go and get massages for this) so I am sure the exercising would help that, I use to do a lot of lifting when I was younger
(do you remember the returnable pop bottles (are you old enough LOL) I use to pick up 2-3 cases of those up at a time in the wood crates when I worked at a store as a stocker) as a teen and I have had issues ever since then plus been in a few car wrecks and one of those I snapped forward and shattered the windshield (as a passenger).....not good *Doh*

As for pretending to be a 20 year old he-man.....can I just pretend I'm 20 rofl rofl rof
Thank you again for the sweet remark and advise *hug*

As for feeling better, some would say it is because I have went a week and it was healing in it's time BUT I choose to believe it is because of the sweet brothers and sisters praying for me (I started feeling the healing sunday evening AFTER my post here and going to the alter *BigGrin* )
I did not feel ANY relief from the 4 chiro visits but the urgent care friday evening I got a shot in the you know where *BigGrin* and they gave me some muscle relaxers which I think helped too BUT I don't like them cause they remind me of my drinking days.... rofl (they cause dizzyness) and a few other side effects that I don't like *BigGrin*
But I went back to work tuesday so I am feeling some better.

Thank you all for your prayers *hug* *hug*
