Day 3

Postby grandma dolittle » Fri Jun 15, 2012 10:49 am

Like King David, I also committed adultry by divorcing my husband and remarrying while he still lives. And like King David, God forgave me for my sins, but I must also pay the consequences for my sins. My son from my first marriage does not have a lot to do with me and his sister was into drugs. My second husband and I adopted her two sons. They were babies when we got them, the youngest was 14 months old and the oldest not quite 3. I was so hurt and grieved for the loss of a daughter I dearly loved. I cried and prayed many nights and one night I heard a voice say "If you want the pleasure of loving these boys, you must also have the pain." The voice was so real, I looked to see who had spoken to me and no one was there. I knew that God had spoken to me.The boys have been a blessing to me, yet a trial also. The oldest boy, now 25 does not believe in God and it hurts to read his posts on facebook. The youngest just turned 24 in prison. We do not escape our sins of which I have many, yet we can be forgiven. God forgets, but man remembers.

Hello Grandma Dolittle :)

God bless you this day.

God has given you wonderful insight and wisdom. God is Good!!! God's law of harvest stands -- whatever seed we sow, will bring an harvest, good or bad. I am so grateful to our Lord for His blessed Word and for the revelations He gives us. Thank You Jesus \o/ \o/ \o/

One of the scriptures that was a true comfort to me, when dealing with the consequences or harvest from previous sins / bad seed planting, was Psalm 103:10 (NIV) He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.

Hallelujah!!! Even though we reap what we sow -- because we are God's children and walk in grace -- He will not abandon us but will be with us and help us overcome the repercussions / consequences. Thank You Lord!!!

Thank you, Grandma Dolittle, for sharing, and continue to embrace the study and sharing the revelations He gives you. Others are blessed by your testimony of Him and His great love.

God bless and keep you.
In Christ Jesus' love,
Sister Mack

WOW, Wow, wow!!! I'm sorry to here all that & I can relate from a different perspective. I'm going to ask you to forgive me for my mother. I know that sounds kinda strange but I (& my 2 younger brothers but I can only speak for myself) put my (our) mother through hell with drinking & drugs & I know it broke her heart. I (we) were lucky enough to reconsile with her before she passed away but I still always felt a lot of guilt because my mother was a very good caring person. Besides me & my brothers my father treated her pretty poorly also. Out of all my brothers I'm the only one (by the grace of God) who stayed married (26yrs) & I know they all had problems with their children. My youngest brother has children he fathered out of wedlock who's he has never even had a relationship with because their mother wants nothing top do with him. BTW: I had prayed for him & he's now a Christian who has been sober & hasn't smoked in over 8 years, Praise Jesus!!!
I know God answers prayer because I've seen it first hand. It's never too late for someone to come to Christ & I'll pray that both your boys will do just that. *Pray*
Lord I pray for healing & comfort in sister grandma dolittle's life & for salvation for both her boys & that they come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour. In Jesus name I pray. Amen
God Bless
*JesusSign*
Keep on Prayin!!!

John,
You are forgiven. A Mother's love is forever, no matter what. As Jesus have forgive you, forgive your self. Thank you for your prayers, both my children and I need it. There is nothing that can heal wounds in a Mother's heart like knowing her child has accepted Christ. God bless you.
Have a early Happy Father's Day!
