Day3 Journal

I will say I am guilty of moving away from God due to my illness and just trying to feel better to no avail. I focused so much on the negative and found myself asking what did I do to deserve this. The past few days I have been trying to look at the positive things, how little they might be. There has been some improvement but I am no where near out of the woods. I didn't mention it in my first journal but I also have trigeminal Neuralgia which is pain in your face that is caused by a certain nerve in my brain. I am on my second medication in hopes of it working without bad side effects. It's a lot to handle but I have to believe that God is right beside me wanting me pain free and to have an enjoyable life.It's easy to get side tracked when you are in so much physical and emotional pain. I will reread the previous steps to keep me going in the right direction. I thoroughly enjoy the steps and everyone who has reached out to me. Amen.

Oh mglen...you are in my prayers. May our loving God comfort you... *hug*

Psalm 73:23-26
23 Yet I am always with you;
you hold me by my right hand.
24 You guide me with your counsel,
and afterward you will take me into glory.
25 Whom have I in heaven but you?
And earth has nothing I desire besides you.
26 My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever.

I'm sorry to hear about your physical problem. I know it can be very difficult to concentrate when you're in pain. I pray that God will give you relief from the symptoms. You're on the right track, keep up the good work. Off topic I have to say I'm jealous, I noticed in your profile you're from NJ. I grew up in Paramus, NJ then moved from Hopatcong, NJ to Texas in 2003 (It’s a long story). In any event the one thing I really miss is the Jersey shore, haven't seen the ocean since we moved down here. It's funny the things we take for granted.
God Bless
