Ok sooo forgiveness.... wow good subject! Well I guess I do tend to "hang on " to some of that guilt of my sin. I think mainly because of the fact that I knew that I was sinning against God, and did it anyway! It is actually freeing to look at it from the point of view that this is self pity.. which stops me from growing, its like you can feel that you are not growing. so I am relived in a way to know that it is "me " that I am not moving on. sooooo I need to move on in my garden.... and forgive myself, accept Gods forgiveness... and grow!!!! KNow that God has forgiven me, and even though I did stuff knowing what I was doing, I am still forgiven, and I forgive myself!!!! movin on!!!!!
As far as forgiving others, sometimes I think we don't know for sure if we are harboring unforgiveness. There was a time in my past when I forgave my parents. I do believe that is all gone, but Im not so sure about my husband (soon to be ex) and his family. so I will tend to those weeds in my prayers and we shall see just how big they are.
Lord, help me to forgive him and his family...Amen.
And as far as me needing to ask for forgiveness.........Lord lead me to do your will in this area as well.....

btw.. I just got back from "Kay Arthur" bible study, and she said .. nowhere in the Bible does it say that we need to forgive ourselves.... that we just need to KNOW and believe that GOD has forgiven us.
So I think that if we start to feel "guilty" and bring up those past sins on to ourselves that God has already forgiven us for, instead of saying ..I forgive myself....I forgive my self... I forgive my self... we need to say ... Lord I know you have already forgiven me and I give it to you..... ;)
