Hello all,
So I have been battling social anxiety,depression,lonliness,insecurity,guilt ect..for quite some time now. I cant seem to get a grip on my emotions,right now I have no job,i dont go to school,i have no kids,I feel like I am going nowhere. I have prayed so much about these emotions that I dont even know what to ask for anymore. I have been put down a lot by other people and now I just shut down and get quiet when people put me down,I dont know how to deal with things as they come to me so i just get quiet and when i am alone its all i think about. I just dont know what to do anymore,i cant get control over my mind:(

Hello, crystna26 I understand very well what you are feeling. Believe me, I know. There is another Who knows and that's your Holy Father. Just take one day at a time and drown yourself in Scripture. You can do this. You can control your thinking, for you can do all things through Christ. It's not easy but the Lord will help you all the way. The studies here have helped me more than I can say. And the people have Gods love in their heart, not once did anyone put me down for felling that way.

Im glad you are here. Youre in the right place, and God makes no mistakes..He led you here to find this out. God makes no mistakes...this means YOU. It seems that the enemy is whispering alot of lies to you lately, but, only God defines you. No other person or their opinions define who you are. You are a child of God. You are cherished and loved beyond measure. You are not alone, and you are loved unconditionally. Its time to see you how He sees you.

We have to take these thoughts captive. The thoughts that say we are alone...the ones that say we are worthless...and seek His truth. The guilt you are carrying, if you have taken your sins to the Lord and asked Him for His forgiveness, He has forgiven them. Thats His promise to you. Thats the whole reason for Christ's sacrifice on the cross. It was complete. We have to trust what He says..and let the other thoughts go...and roll off. He defines you. The enemy of our souls would love nothing more than to undermind everything the Lord says is true. It starts with our thoughts.

There is a counceling forum here in Oasis. I honestly believe the Lord has many things He wants to do within you...to show you how He really sees you...and how much He loves you. Ive seen many many lives changed through these steps.

I agree completely with what the others have said and allI can add is this because it helped me: "Focus on the solution and not the problem". And the solution is Jesus Christ. I found that when I am focused on Him and His love for me all the other things go away. I am glad God led you here.

Hi Chrystina.
I too have dealt with major bouts of everything you described for most of my life. I am just now coming out of the worst bout ever. Fourteen months of torture, I could not see God anywhere. I thought surely that I would die, and that is what I wanted.
I don't have any advice for you, all I can say is God managed to bring me out of it.
God created me, therefor I DO have value, and so do you.
This is a tough thing to hear, but hang in there.
