I started at my new school district last week. This week was the first week of school with students. It was tough, very tough. I am working with kids very different from any I have in the past. I am adjusting a bit, but it is a struggle. It is exhausting and draining. Please pray that I would have wisdom and that peace and self-control would prevail in my classrom.

Please also pray that I can get out of my parent's place and into my own very soon. Things can be tense on the weekends when I am there more often. I don't need that with the stress school is already causing. I dread going to work and going to the house...my only solace is the drive to and from.

The last two days have been a bit better. I have had to pull out my 'angry' voice and be strict with consequences. I hate when they choose for things to be that way. Please pray that the improvement continues.

All children test authority but secretly it shows you care when you do. Like children that grow up in house where parents don't punish... they will keep doing bad stuff because they want that structure that is missing.

Two students spent most of the day in the office. One for fighting and another for being very inappropriate. And to think we started out the morning so well. I came here to teach...not this! I keep telling myself it has to get better...but there is only so long I can keep saying that. Continued prayers would be appreciated.
