Okay. Here it goes... I know this might seem weird... but i feel like God is calling me. Not to be a nun or anything though. Im 13, and i feel like He is calling me to do something with my life. Like be a police officer (probly not) or doctor (to save lives) or be in the miitary (to protect others)... but for some weird reason i feel like He wants me to be a firefighter (to protect & save people)... God seems to have given me a few tiny signs but im believing it... could this be? Thanks

Not weird at all ! Sounds fantastic!
I think it's awesome that you hear His voice calling you to serve , I'd Also like to add that each one of those callings you listed are very admirable !

I've learned to step out in faith into his calling for me. In so doing I really found out what He's nudging me more towards n pulling me back from.

Here are some verse that may help and give you clarification


"He who is of God hears God's words;” (John 8:47)


"But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

Be available..what do i mean? i mean be ready and waiting to follow God and when doors open be willing to go through by faith trusting God will be with you. It sounds like you are available so keep on learning how to observe the doors that open for you. At 13 your just begining your pilgrimage.. your hike through life..the road ahead has many turns and valley's and mountain tops yet to be revealed. God speaks to us in three main ways-- His Word the Bible--through other people advice,instruction or encouragment--And Circumstance, open doors situations that arise..learning to see these three ways God speaks to us are life long and should never end until we go to glory and all is revealed..

Feed yourself on the scriptures and see how God delt with folks in different situations...the more you do the wider your view of the road ahead will become..above all trust God give Him your life tell God He can do what He wills with your life it is His.. we want what God wants because His ways are way above our ways..Trust God will lead you in the right direction.

Talk with those older brothers and sisters in the Lord who may have served in those areas your interested in. So much wealth of information and experiences to draw from in adults who have spent years and years doing the things you want to do..dont be shy most adults love to talk about their work and experiences of life..God may speak to you through their experiences through their walk with the Lord..and finally keep a watchful eye out when doors open or situations come up..God is always at work in our lives..There is nothing out of the orbit of His care..for instance you may come across a program a class or camp or something that you can attend that you didnt think you would ever be at..then suddenly a friend or parent or maybe tickets come in the mail or it could come from alot of different places..it could also be a sign hey God opened this door to learning about CPR or life saving course then you may look and find this is the direction God is leading..the doors in that direction are opening up...or doors could open up that you havent considered yet..the great thing about being 13 is your just starting and gettin better at following God is pretty cool..it brings strength and wisdom and peace of mind and heart through a very troubled world.I want to encourage you we need alot more believers in positions you talked about getting into..Be excieted God is forming you into the person He wants you to be..Trust Him..

Psalms 48:14 For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.

1 Peter 4:11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. (this means whatever you do do it with the abilities God gives you and do it for God so that through Jesus Christ your life can be a glory to Him for ever and ever)

Thank you guys so much. This is really encouraging. I just hope people will accept it because im smart & stuff and i wouldn't be using that very much if i did any of this stuff... but thats okay i mean its not for me, its for God.
