day 4 3/4:

another thought on forgiveness.
we all make mistakes, its what you do after the mistakes that counts. when i make a mistake, i apologize to whomever and do the best i can to remedy the situation or ask what i can do. if someone makes a mistake against me, i try to be gracious and understanding and help get the mistake fixed if it would be helpful.

step 5,

took me a while to figure out why my "problem" was, but became more apparent after i read the list of studies. several apply but they all seem to be based on:

my problem is financial and i am selfish.

i tried to click on emotions bible link and it doesn't work. is there another way to access it? never heard of emotions bible

Hello flourish *Wave* ,

I remember the first time i realised i was selfish. I was in a complete state on denial lol. *dunno* I fought it and fought it and stomped and said "NO I"M NOT SELFISH GOD, U DONT UNDERSTAND!!" rofl I think He got a chuckle out of that one. I can imagine Him looking down at me with a brow lifted saying "Realy? Is that your final answer? " *dunno* "Ok Ok , maybe I am geesh!"It was a hard pill for me to swallow, lemme tell ya ;) . I think it is for many of the best of us. Your sound pretty normal to me :)

Little by little if we yield ourselves to His will, our will and selfishness starts to fall away. We begin to realise that He has our best interests at heart and we begin to trust Him and the weight gets lifted and we can move about freely in Him.
See like right now.. im being selfish talking bout my lil ole past and not seeing you through on your post. But i do it in hopes to ease any shame or blame or hurt feelings you may harbor finding out this bit of info about yourself.

It is only when we compare ourselves to HIM, that we can find where we need to grow and what we need to let go. So i would say a person who looks inside themselves and is honest with self, is getting pretty close to God. :)

About the finances... Ask Him for some God ideas and get creative. Maybe something you can do from home? Maybe a business venture? If He is center of it and for the purpose to enhance His kingdom, He will make way and will make way for you as well. He always does. *JesusSign*

God bless you and keep you

Step 6

Miracle Grow chart is interesting. have started filling mine out. i normally spend a lot of time with Jesus anyway. he's my best friend so he's my 1st go to God ("guy"). lol. just never thought of this kind of chart.

read the financial bible study and is not really my problem. so after more consideration, i believe my problem is Trust. i don't trust Jesus, myself or other people. so maybe that is the "root" problem. so will need to look for a bible study on trust.

thanx Cool Peeps for you support, glad ur here to help me out!! one of my columns is COOL.

step 7

lots of big steps now. i thought yesterday was a full platter, today is another huge heaping. i'm gonna be really fat when this is over, lol! and now 1/2 way thru the program and hanging on.

so my miracle grow columns are pray, read bible, oasis, exercise, water, no sugar, journal blessings, "cleanse mind step 7 added today", bible study and music.
yesterday i scored a 92. (drats that sugar)

blessings: beautiful day, feel pretty good, internet, netflix, hulu, comfortable bed, food in the frig, bracelet idea for friend finally came together, laundry done, tried turkey burgers-scrumptious, oasis study and chat rooms, glitch, reliable dependable car, great mind.

That's terrific. *Clap*

Wait! Did you say no sugar? *Yikes* I wouldn't survive an hour. *laughter* If you find yourself constantly missing the mark on that one perhaps "cut back on sugar" would be better than "no" sugar. I don't know your reason for not allowing yourself any sugar at all so perhaps it's a medical thing. Do as you need and as God leads. :) Take care.

"no sugar" has been changed to low carbs. i do have hypoglycemia so i need to be on a high protein/low carb diet.

step 8

study is becoming more and more interesting. tried to work on clearing my mind exercise. i discovered i am very angry with my partner since discovering he is a sex addict. i keep telling myself it is his probelm, he needs to get better and it is his choice. my problem is the anger at him for causing me so much pain. so Jesus help me resolve my anger and pain. fix my partner, he is a better man than that. i clearly see what Paul's saying about wanting to do something and doing the exact opposite.

apparently i live a very Spiritual life because satan is constantly at my doorstep with more crap!! no way he's gonna get me. he might as well give up trying!! my middle name is Job, Jr. lol

blessings for today: Jesus my BFF, another beautiful sunny day. feeling pretty good, oasis friends and website, weekend, inherent passion and compelling desire to thrive in extreme adversity, clean clothes, clean tub, pandora music, going to the park to feed the ducks and have lunch. internet t.v.

step 9

change life style. bad stuff is gone and now a void from not having it any more. fill up new space with God stuff:

pictures, key chains, magnets, magazine, posters, drawings.

think on good things, not bad. focus, think on positive. i become what i am surrounded with including people, television, books, home. language, conversation, clothing. would i share this with Jesus?

if i let go of my problems to God, why should i then ask for help?

40 days to make or break a habit

blessings for today: weekend. partner is home. no sugar yesterday-feel much better today.shoulder exercised and loved it, look forward to it now. another beautiful day. fishy is fine. oasis, and of course my bff Jesus

God-soul (mind), Father , Grace
Jesus -flesh , best friend , forgiveness, know him by asking questions
H.S.-spirit,comforter, truth, helper, spiritual intuition & companion

discover things about me by talking
pray with thanksgiving, i have already received it
god's answers, yes no not now

blessings: partner, Jesus answers me, slept thru nite, good food, added joy to miracle grow, oasis, cool buddies, friends, books, games, home, money, another fine day in sunshine

step 11

Holy Spirit
feels like electricity, i know that feeling.
surrender, heart, body, mind and soul. i continue to do that.
child like. black and white. love him, loves back, hurt him & he will leave.

so next study after this, is spirit of truth

blessings, for a great mind, Jesus, live in a "free" country, paper and pens, shoulder is healing, down time to spend with Jesus, good friends, books & library
