Day two
Yesterday I struggled with worries and doubts about my future. It wasn't a good day, but if I step back and think about it, it wasn't all bad. There were some good parts, but I only magnified the bad parts. I was disappointed in myself because I let my fears and feelings control me. I want to change and be more productive with my life, not allowing circumstances to control my actions or lack of action. And I want to let go of regrets because dwelling on regret only weighs me down. Also, I want to learn to see myself as God sees me and learn how to forgive myself. After reading Lesson #2, I was reminded about the thoughts/weeds planted in my mind over the years. It would be nice if they all would magically disappear, but it takes effort and time to change and renew the mind. For so long I always thought of miracles as only being the instantaneous ones. It's hard to think of miracles as happening over a progression of time. It's a way to adjust my perspective on how many miracles there really are. The beauty of nature is a miracle and the trees, plants, etc took time to grow there.
This path happens one step at a time and one day at a time.
This has been one of my favorite scriptures for a long time:
This path happens one step at a time and one day at a time.
This has been one of my favorite scriptures for a long time:
Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. (Romans 5:1-5 NIV)

HI Christine
Oh, I love that verse. There are sooo many promises in that one Scripture!
Sister in Him, see how easily our thoughts and feelings change in a matter of a day? It is in changing the way we think...Truth sets us free. His truth is so full of promises and healing and love and mercy and Grace...the blessings and the miracles are endless. Its no wonder the Lord teaches us to cast down imaginations..and to take our thoughts captive. The battlefield is in the mind. This is where the lie is planted...and this is also where the truth has to replace those lies.
Your post today blessed me. Looking forward to watching and walking along this path with you

Re: Day two
hi Christine,
Nice to meet ya!
Oh yes those negative nasties try to poke out at us all the time. It takes time to renew your mind in Him. Dont get discouraged on this path, Just like any bad habit (negative thoughts) it takes lots of practice and a whole lot of patience with yourself. And yes we do get down right frustrated at times. Just growing pains. Our lord says to do not worry bout tomorrow for tomorrow has enuff of its own when it gets here. Keeping mind on the present tense, the right here and now has helped me tremendously!! You are doing great sis keep with the steps
God bless

Re: Day two
Welcome Christine...Im soooo glad you are here. Doing the paths will really help you grow closer to Christ and a renew a lot of faith not only in HIM but in yourself. It did for me. I also had lots of trouble pulling those weeds. I had to make a list and like scratch through them to think of getting rid of them. Know that I am praying for you as you are on your journey.
