This forum is for those souls 18 years and older who are dealing with some type of addictive behavior whether it be from alcohol, drugs, overeating, fear, worry, sex, etc. Only with help and guidance from God can we ever hope to overcome these addictions. What is impossible for us to do IS POSSIBLE with God. Friends and family of those stricken with addictions are welcome to share as this problem affects more than just the soul entangled in its web.

5:00 PM- Plum, White Chocolate Button
6:40 PM- Monterrey Jack and Jalepeno Cheesebuger, Baked Beans, Lemon Meringue with Ice Cream
11:00 PM- 1 Cup Cereal with Milk
11:45 PM- 12 Peanut Butter M&M's, Doritos
1:30 AM- 6 Peanut Butter M&M's
2:40 AM- Doritos
Throughout the Day- 1 Litre of Water

Sigh. Apparantly the stress over being offered a job is not different than the stress over not being. What happened to my willpower? I was so proud of myself when I started. I took such pleasure in using self-control and saying no to things. It is like that is all out the window now. I really think there is something to be said for me going to bed by 8 PM. The worst of the snacking happens after that! Will be good when there are no more Doritos in the house! I keep justifying all this by saying I am stressed. How long do I think that excuse is going to last?!

Dear, dear kimby.....

Don't sell yourself short because of lack of "willpower". I understand the stress you're under, especially when it comes to interviewing for jobs-they always have/always will, make me nervous...and plays a game with my head, ya' know "am i qualified enough?, etc"...

I have always heard that "we are our own worse enemy"...I have come to believe that.

I will be here to help you get back on your food and eating better "bandwagon" sis...I will be praying for you as I will for all of us who're struggling with our weight & eating/not eating.

Working at being able to completely submit myself to God in this area is what I pray about. I know HE knows what's best for me in ALL areas of my life. Sometimes though I think we all are so loud at beating ourselves up about our "failures" that we don't hear HIS voice telling us, "It's okay, we can start again tomorrow..."

May HE continue to bless us in this daily walk.

12:00 AM- Sour Cream and Chive Mini Rice Cakes
Throughout the Day: 2 Litres of Water

Am happy enough with how I did today. Wasn't tempted to snack at all really..and when I got hungry after dinner feel like I made decent choices.

3:30 PM- 9 Peanut Butter M&M'S
4:00 PM- Tea, 2 Rich Tea Biscuits
6:30 PM- Rice with Peas and Bacon
8:30 PM- Bag of Gummi Candy
9:00 PM- Sweet Chilli Mini Rice Cakes
9:30 PM- 3 Cookies
11:00 PM- Strawberries
1:30 AM- Thai Sweet Chilli Crisps
2:00 AM- 12 Peanut Butter M&M's

Everything after 8:30 is a bit of a blur so I am making some guesses on some of that....I think it is fairly accurate though. Obviously my world fell apart after 8 PM. Not sure what was up with that, but I am not happy about it. I would have thought this would have gotten easier instead of harder, but in all honestly the first week or two was so much easier than the last couple have been

Not great, not horrible, but not great. Throw a couple bites of brownie in there somewhere while I was baking them for tonight. The scales were just plain evil this morning. I know I have not done great this week, but I also don't feel I have done add two pounds bad. So, so discouraging.

The day wasn't too bad...until the Peters and I made that midnight run to Downpatrick for Mickey D's! It was great craic though and so well worth it! I love those guys and am really going to miss this sort of thing next year.

Tuesday 31 May
11:00 AM- Porridge with 2 Tablespoons Raisins and Cinnamon
1:15 PM- 2 Rye Crispbreads with Chicken Tikka Sandwich Filler, Radishes, Peach, Banana, 1/3 Serving Cadbury Mini Eggs

The scales are being a little kinder to me. I realise that some of the things I am eating are still not good...but I am happy that the amounts of it I am eating are down from what I would normally do. My cold took a turn for the worse yesterday and of course I wanted comfort food. Decided to make spaghetti and garlic bread. Glad I followed that prompting it was a nice treat.
