John's Journal Day 6

Postby humblevisitor » Tue Jun 07, 2011 8:13 am

Had to get an early start today on this step. Errands to run and work later. I decided to use the chart and suggested categories at least for the rest of this month and see how that goes and see if the Holy Spirit brings others to mind. One thing I do see is how much of my thoughts have been wrong: weeds not seeds. And I do believe that this exercise will renew my mind and get my thinking going in the right direction again. Also read through some more of the things listed in step 5. One thing I know i have never been really good at is follow through. I start things with enthusiasm and then let it wane. Please continue to pray for me that i remain consistent and strong throughout this study and exercise *Pray*

Hey Brother!! *Wave*
I know the feeling, I have issues of following through also and I'm the worst at it when it comes to reading
and you know what that means....I don't spend the time in His word like I need, BUT I diid find that when I was doing these steps I stuck with them better than I ever have any other reading, yes I skipped a day here or there BUT I jumped right back into it, I just don't like to read anymore and I had even tried a couple devotional books (one I REALLY liked) but as always I fall away and lose interest in reading *help*
I pray that we both get the thurst for His word so bad we have NO CHOICE but to read about it.
Good luck brother *Pray* just remember if you fall get up and do it again *Clap*
Also wanted you to know if you feel lead to don't feel like you HAVE to stay on a routine of each day, you might want to take an extra day to absorb some of the info or to re-read some of it to better understand it.

Prayers for continued strength and focus to move forward! *ohyeah*

It is said... that in order for a "new" habit to take root, the human brain needs 21 days... so if you give it rest of the month, you will do well! :) One step at a time, no worries!
