Devotions

Postby ciny » Mon Apr 25, 2011 11:39 am

You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You, Because
he trusts in You.
( Isaiah 26:3 *NKJV )

Dear readers

Now true peace in our lives can be hard to find at times,
but through our faith in Jesus Christ we can know peace
even in turmoil. This is because; He Himself is our
peace. ( Ephesians 2:14 )

Now our Savior Jesus Christ said, These things I
have spoken to you, that in Me you may have
peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but
be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."
( John 16:33 )

Therefore when you find that peace has left you, and you
feel troubled; return your thoughts to our Heavenly
Father and trust in Him with all your heart. Always
remembering that; Having been justified by faith,
we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus
Christ. ( Romans 5:1 )

So , always; Let the peace of Christ rule
in your hearts, since as members of one body you
were called to peace. And be thankful.
( Colossians 3:15 )

Have a great day and may; The grace of our Lord
Jesus Christ be with you all, now and always! Amen.
( Revelations 22:21 )

To everything there is a season, A time
for every purpose under heaven.
( Ecclesiastes 3:1 *NKJV )

Dear Reader,
In this fast paced World we live in, patience has become a
lost art! We may even think that God isn't hearing our prayers
because they aren't answered instantly.

When you find yourself feeling that way remember to; Rest
in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him (Psalms 37:7)
Therefore Reader, why not slow down and practice patience,
as well as, take time to enjoy the simple things in life like:

TAKING TIME
Take time to think...It is the source of
power.

Take time to play...It is the secret of
perpetual youth.

Take time to read...It is the fountain of
wisdom.

Take time to pray...It is the greatest power
on Earth.

Take time to love and be loved...It is a God-
given privilege.

Take time to be friendly...It is the road to
happiness.

Take time to laugh...It is the music of the
soul.

Take time to give...It is too short a day to be
selfish.

Take time to work...It is the price of
success.

Take time to do charity...It is the key to
Heaven.

One of the devotionals i get in my email daily i look forward to them they bring joy into my spirit man and getting into God's word brings joy to my life

It is written: SPEAK TO ONE ANOTHER WITH PSALMS,
HYMNS AND SPIRITUAL SONGS. SING AND MAKE MUSIC
IN YOUR HEART TO THE LORD.
(EPHESIANS 5:19)

Dear Reader,
God's precious word was written to help us, and to be
studied, understood, and applied. The Book of Psalms
lends itself most directly to helping us deal with our day
to day emotions. For they put into words our deepest
hurts, longings, thoughts and prayers. They gently push
us toward being what God designed us to be, that is
people loving and living for Him!

So today we will look at some of the reasons to read
The book of PSALMS.

WHEN YOU WANT........... READ....
To know how to come to God each day............PSALM 5
To understand yourself more clearly ..................PSALM 8
To please God...................................................PSALM 15
To find comfort ..................................................PSALM 23
To learn more about God ..................................PSALM 24
To be forgiven for your sins ...............................PSALM 51
To learn a new song .........................................PSALM 92
To meet God intimately .....................................PSALM 103
To know why you should worship God .............PSALM 104
To understand why you should read the Bible...PSALM 119
To learn a new prayer.......................................PSALM 136
To give thanks to God......................................PSALM 136
To feel worthwhile.............................................PSALM 139
To give praise to God........................................PSALM 145
To know that God is in control...........................PSALM 146

So why not relax and read a good book tonight, the Book
of Psalms that is! Amen.

Layman's 10 Commandments.
Great Reading.

Someone has written these beautiful words. Must read and try to understand the deep meaning of it.
They are like the ten commandments to follow in life all the time.

1] Prayer is not a "spare wheel" that you pull out when in trouble, but it is a "steering wheel" that directs the right path throughout.

2] So why is a Car's WINDSHIELD so large & the Rear view Mirror is so small? Because our PAST is not as important as our FUTURE. So, Look Ahead and Move on.

3] Friendship is like a BOOK. It takes few seconds to burn, but it takes years to write.

4] All things in life are temporary. If things are going well, enjoy them, they will not last forever. If things are going wrong, don't worry, they can't last long either.

5] Old Friends are Gold! New Friends are Diamond! If you get a Diamond, don't forget the Gold! Because to hold a Diamond, you always need a Base of Gold!

6] Often when we lose hope and think this is the end, GOD smiles from above and says, "Relax, it's just a bend, not the end!

7] When GOD solves your problems, you have faith in HIS abilities; when GOD doesn't solve your problems HE has faith in your abilities.

8] A blind person asked St. Anthony: "Can there be anything worse than losing eye sight?" He replied: "Yes, losing your vision!"

9] When you pray for others, God listens to you and blesses them, and sometimes, when you are safe and happy, remember that someone has prayed for you.

10] WORRYING does not take away tomorrow's TROUBLES, it takes away today's PEACE.
