I am at the end of being
In Oct,my middle daughter moved in with 2 children,a dog and 2 cats. Since that time, they have destroyed my home and my car. The dog does its business in my dining room and sewing room. The kids have destroyed things that meant alot to me. The dog has destroyed my furniture. I take care of my ex-hubby, who has parkinsons dementia. He is very dependent and needs assistance to dress and he also get confused and hallucinates. I am at an all time low.I am angry resentful and depressed. I have no time to get back into church, cause the family destroys my house daily. I have become withdrawn and isolated myself. I need prayer of some kind. I dont know where to turn or what to do. Oh Jesus, please help me. Zoitsa

Re: I am at the end of being
I guess I have mixed feelings about this. I don't know if I would have allowed my kids back into the house(That's just me) Not that I do not love my kids greatly, but if we become the lifeline all the time then when do they learn to stand on their own. This to me is clearly a boundary issue and yours are being trashed right now. Maybe you could set some clear boundaries if she wants to stay. Dogs stay outside, You have to pick up after yourself and help with maintaining the household and the kids. One more thing is maybe you could request that while under your roof all persons must attend church and go as a family.
Remember, you don't have to change everything overnight, but pray that the Lord will show you one small thing that you can be faithful in doing. Then he will show what comes next. You have a lot of issues right now and trying to tackle them all is overwhelming you. God is faithful, and if we are faithful in the small things he will make us ruler over many things.
Luk 19:17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.

Re: I am at the end of being
First and for most, i would suggest that you pray for the healing of your kid's,and for all the resentments that they have 50% caused you to have against them, and 50% yours for allowing them to continue to do it. If that's the case. But this i know, and that is, that no matter who much you want them to change, and lecture them for it. You must realize that you are absolutely powerless to change them, only GOD can do that! And He Will if you pray, but also pray for the patience while you wait for Him to work out those prayer's according to His Will, and In His Time Frame! Meditate on this simple; but very profound prayer, and pray to it GOD as often as you can: "GOD grant me the serinity to except the things that i can not change, the courage to change the things i can, and the wisdom to know the difference"! GOD bless you and i pray He fill you with the Spirit of Christ, and Heal all your, and your families troubles! In Christ name i pray this Amen...Your not alone! I have a maryaid of problems also, and so does everyother Christian! Most Christians are just very wretchedly ignorant of how wretched and prideful their self-righteousness is! Which is just as selfish, and sinful in GOD'S eye's as the vilest of vices!

Re: I am at the end of being
I'm new here but I have to say I have been thru so much I {and most of us} could write a book. I'm in the middle of yet another crisis-journey-valley in my life also. I believe that we were not created to withstand sin. Having said that I also believe that in the middle of the world hitting Christians with things that we sometimes find it hard to understand, we tend to question our motives, searching over and over again....where we went wrong, never thinking that Christ wants us to move out of His way and let him work (all things according to his glory)
In my walk with my father he reminds me that I cannot move forward if I'm always looking back. Don't stay where you are spiritually, just keep walking forward...no matter what your feelings are. Trust me when I say Christ WILL guide you and make sure you understand his will for you, which in turn will bring you peace, knowing that he has any situation in your life in his hands.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for that post I needed to hear that. Sometimes I don't know if I have completely lost my faith or my faith is getting stronger. Motives are always questioned.

the dogs need to be house broken and trained the kid's need to be taught respect.don't let that resentfulness turn into bitterness.
