Trapped

Postby Worship Leader » Thu Mar 24, 2011 2:31 pm

I am struggling. I have prayed for many years to be delivered from this struggle and that the Lord would fight the battle for me. Days would come where I am strong enough spiritually to say no and I am able to resist, but then days would come when I am not able to resist and I fall. When I fall, I go to the Lord in prayer, but often feel like I am not truly repenting of the sin because I keep falling time and time again into the same sin. There's no change. Therefore, I find it hard to forgive myself and move on. I even sometimes doubt my salvation. I feel trapped spiritually and I am trying to break free. I know I can't do it on my own, but appearantly I must be trying to fight the battle on my own instead of the Lord fighting for me. I feel unfaithful, worthless and rebellious against God.

I am so sorry to hear of your troubles. You minister to all of us and it is hard to hear your pain. I will be praying God will deliver you once and for all. Just like you tell us He will never forsake you, no matter what. Lay it at the foot of the cross everyday and leave it there. DON'T BEAT YOURSELF UP! God loves you and he knows how much you love HIM.

We pray for you Worship Leader.

Dear Lord,
We ask that you increase the faith of Worship Leader. Strenghten his voice as he speaks to his temptations
with rebuke, in the name of Jesus. Help him to take a stand against the one who attacks him, binding up
the enemy, and giving praise to you Lord God. We pray that Worship Leader, and all of us, will turn from our
wicked ways seeking you in our weekness so that you may be even stronger in delivering us from evil.
We pray, in these moments, we remember to seek you with all our heart, all our being, and that we rejoice
in you, Lord, and meditate on those things that are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, and anything that is praiseworthy.
In Jesus name we pray. Amen
