This message hits home here as well. It is easier said than done, but let's give our best effort to let our Lord's love flow during this holiday season.

We begin today by asking a question. Are we walking in the spirit or in the flesh?

Great message.How do you know oif you have forgiven someone.I have i think forgiven someone,but can not remain freinds even though i have forgiven them as it would casuse me to stray from my path.They do not have my best interests at heart an dont like my faith.I have prayed for them an truly forgiven them for there deed,but is it enough.i feel guity for losing a friend

Interesting question Rachael..., A very famous minister once said that one of our chief goals as a Christian should be to become "God Inside Minded." Such is asking us to walk on a considerably higher plateau than what would be considered normal for most of us. Such actually requires that we view situations we encounter with the mind of Christ. Even if we have not grown to the plateau of becoming God inside minded, we can, if we will, ask ourselves what we think our Lord might do if He was in the same situation as we find ourselves in.

No, what you have done to this point is not enough. If it was, then you wouldn't feel guilty. In order to rid yourself of doubt and worry and guilt you must get on that higher plateau where you answer truthfully what Christ would do in the same situation. You see, even when we think we have given our best, to have His mind would be to give more. What would that more be? Love, of course. We have forgiven them and prayed for them, now we must love them. Jesus always will be waiting for them, always hoping they will change their mind about them, always loving them with His everlasting love. So have yourself an attitude of genuine love for them, bless them when you can, pray for them when you remember them, do something good to them if you get the chance. When you find that you totally love them despite what they have done to you, the guilt will depart.

Here is a short prayer I recommend. Lord Jesus, I confess of myself I have not your love for my friends. Please Lord, forgive me this, and give me your love to give to them. Thank you Lord that I can now love them as you have loved me.

How will you know when you have Christ's love to give for them? You will not feel the least bit guilty about not being with them. When you think about what terrible thing they did to you, it will be as nothing in your mind. Your immediate thought after that will be to think of how very, very much you love them, but understand you cannot be with them without a change from them. If you meet them on the street or elsewhere you will just be able to smile, say hi and love them.

Please, do not return to them as you have said. They will lead you astray again.
