God is Love... hummm?
Well... I'm on day 4 of my journey in MCFC and had a sentence say something I have never thought about. It said, "How can a person believe in LOVE, and NOT IN GOD?"
WOW! How come I never really thought of that??? Now I really see what they mean. How can someone who loves people but call themselves an atheist ... LOVE??? Doesn't make sense does it??? I didn't think so either!
It even says, that 'GOD IS LOVE' so how can they really know what love feels like if they DON'T have GOD?
Just wondering? To me... I can't imagine NOT having GOD in my life helping me every second of the day. I know most of us have at some time in our life lost a loved one and felt such LOSS, but at the same time, in our loss He has taken us (if we were a Christian) in His arms and helped us go though all the pain.
I've always wondered, How could some one that doesn't know the Lord go through that loss & pain, and not lose it? Do they just not feel like we do when they are not living for Christ?
All I know is ... I can't wait to get to Heaven and ask the Lord all these questions... I know... I won't even care about all that when I get there, I will KNOW all the answers when I get there... PTL!!!
Well, just wanted to throw some crazy thoughts out there to see if anyone else thinks like I do... that is kinda scary to think anyone would come close to thinking like me...
Hope everyone that is going through this program is getting the blessings that I am. It seems that every step I have taken on all the the programs or studies I have done, have drawn me closer and closer to my Lord! I'm loving every second of it! Don't want to ever stop!!!
Have a wonderful & blessed day!

Hello Havingfaithagain
God bless you this day.
I was so inspired by your post that I re-visited Step #4 of the MCFC Study, and got a refresher. Wooooooohoooooo!!!
Peer pressure can be a tough one -- especially when it comes from within your own family. And if your own family members are pressuring you about your faith, whoa, it can be like a gut shot.
Havingfaith, you said:
I was a late bloomer when it came to my growth with The Lord. I guess you could say I was a "sprout" for a very longgggggggg time. Even though I believed in God and Jesus and Heaven, when someone died that I knew well, I would get so sad that I felt physically ill. Plus, I come from "wailing stock." The "message" I got from family, early on, was the the more you cried and fell apart over someone's passing, the more you loved that person. In a sense, it was "proof" of your love.
Isn't it interesting the things we teach our children, by example? They are always watching, those little ones. Awwwwwwww, Jesus loves the little ones.
It is good to now know that The Comforter is always with those who love Him.
When I read about when Lazarus died, and Jesus arrived on the scene 4 days later, The Bible speaks of all the mourners gathered there. And when Mary got word that Jesus was on His way, "she rose up hastily and went out", and it says all the mourners followed her. See, they didn't know she was going to meet Jesus, they thought she was going to Lazarus' grave to mourn.
My thought...leave the poor woman alone.
I remember when my dad passed, I just wanted to be alone for a while. Yes, it was nice to have others around, but I also felt the need for some blessed alone time.
Matthew 5:4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Praise God! Thank You Jesus! Awwwwwww, blessed Holy Spirit, Comforter.
God bless and keep you, Havingfaith
Love,
Mack

I wonder know how I could have believed all those lies all that time and not know how easy it was to be happy after not only accepting God into my life but also to be free to do His bidding. Amazing!
Love seeing your post faith, really encouraging to everyone!

Hi Havingfaithagain!
I thought exactly the same thing as you did when i read step 4. Guess there is someone else with crazy thoughts.
I have been a Christian, and fallen, and as a result of my pulling away from God felt neither His Grace or Love.
When it came down to a choice between life and death I finally "gave God just one more chance" to prove His Love to me.
Sounds stupid, doesn't it!? I gave God an ultimatum, and He chose to respond to me! WOW
THAT"S GOD"S LOVE!!!
Unbelievable.
Have a fantastic journey with our wonderful, forgiving, gracious, loving Lord.

Hello,
Well, I look at it this way.. I would rather be CRAZY for the Lord, then to be just plain CRAZY!! I'm glad you responded. Makes me know I'm not the only one thinking about things like that...
YES, GOD IS AN AMAZING GOD! He surprises me with new things everyday! Of course, the devil surprises me with new things everyday too... but with him I expect bad surprises... :0/
Have you gone through the Christian Counseling Program on here? If not, I would stop the one you are on and start that one. You'll see why if you haven't done it. It really shed some light on different things for me too. Opened my eyes to new things that has strengthened me as a Christian.
Thanks for the encouragement! I'm here for you too, anytime you need a shoulder or just an ear... I just love the people on here... no one has a condemning spirit, and boy do we need to have people like that around us at all times.
You have a great day! If you want to be friends, just click on me. I'll be glad to have you as one.
Love in Christ,
Linda
