Spiritual Doctrines That Kill

Hosted by Saint 701 ... This forum is for the purpose of examining the subject of Grace and its great place in God's work in the body of Christ Jesus of which we are a part. "The Book of Romans" was chosen for the title since that book is so rich in Grace to us, but in no way is this forum limited in examining Grace to only the "Book of Romans."

Spiritual Doctrines That Kill

Hello All,

*AngelYellow*
Blessings!

Do we know we are alive in the Spirit today? If we examine ourselves truthfully, we may find that m;any spiritual experiences in the Bible have simply not become a part of our lives. We need to ask ourselves why? What is hindering our spiritual advancement? Have we been taught that certain things passed away with the Apostles? Or have we been taught that Jesus was just a man and not divine? Or have we been taught that through our own human efforts we become more Christ like as we apply His teachings? Or have we been taught that there are so many inconsistencies in the Bible that it is faulty, thus creating doubt as to whether we should believe it or not? Have we been taught there is no hell, as our Lord is so loving such a place could not exist? Or, have we believed the lie that all go to the same place?

People, any doctrine that creates doubt or leads you in some other direction than simple faith or belief in the Bible that Jesus is God and all therein is truth will kill you. If we have bought into any of the above doctrines we are most likely still spiritually dead. If we go to church week after week after week believing our church going is a profession of faith that saves, and we do not advance in spiritual experiences, we are much deceived.

All of these false doctrines are part of a belief system called higher criticism.
It is most certainly far better to die in faith believing, than it is to live in unbelief.
