Starting Day 2

Praise God - I found this site.
Writing my thoughts feels like freeing myself of some of them. Don't have much time this a.m. but wanted a little boost.
been thinking about what i wrote yesterday. not completely honest. My relationship with my husband is much worse. We belittles me, makes me feel, fat, stupic and dumb on top of that. I've almost come to the point where i feel like that with everyone. right now, worried about spelling and you guys saying what an idiot! Well heheh i got spell check on this! He isn't a mean man, he is smaill and i think he does a lot of what he does to make himself feel bigger. that's funny he will not be intimate with me because i need to lose 45 lbs and he needs to be 45 lbs bigger. I married him because i loved him, not anything to do with his size. I have never once mentioned my thoughts on his size. I wouldn't hurt him like that. Anyway that is a mouthful of negative this a.m. so i will quit for now.
will be back later to fill in more.

Upside you are not an idiot! And I would never think that way.

What I see in you is a very smart woman who understands more about God than many do. Even religious leaders. :)

You're an asset to this site already and you have only been here a few days.

I'm sorry your husband says those things. When he does remind yourself those words do not belong to you. Return them with sensire words of appreciation of who he is and what he's done for you. Focus on the good and let go of the bad. Keep reminding yourself who you are in Christ. Remember the gardening step? All those negative things that were said to you took root and fester inside there. You gotta grab a hold of them and pull them out then replace them with truth.

btw I don't spell very well either. ;)

Love you! *hug*

You're awesome for saying such nice things. Just finished step 2 and deeply considering the "garden". Man do i have some bugs and weeds in mine. God spoke to me about some of them. One was the dwelling on my problem with my husband and sharing that with my family so i can get comfort and confirmation that he is treating me badly. that's not right! I will not get past the problem until i quit watering it!
I still feel like i should not have been so blunt in my day 1 journal, when i talked about what the alcohol produced in me sometimes. I feel like there hasn't been any posts back because people are disgusted with what i did. That is a dag-gone bush in my garden. need a tractor to pull that one out, but i'm at the right place and all of this and peeps like you are helping me! GBU!

Hey sis don't beat yourself up for sharing. By sharing you are helping others to bring to light their issues as well. No one is thinking anything negative of you only rejoicing that you are overcoming! I have been praying for God to lead others here who are able and willing to help others overcome sexual sins. Perhaps you are an answer to that prayer!! :) There's a forum called S.O.S. that has others who are calling out for help and a program on Monday nights at 10 pm eastern that are just for souls who struggle with sexual issues. This is the place you can be real and you can be open. No judgment. We're all sinners saved by grace. Now when those whispers start coming that make you wish you hadn't shared realize they are from the enemy and tell him to take a hike cause you are doing just fine! There are many who are proud of you and pleased in your quick progress. I'm one of them. :)

I'm still working on some weeks of my own. This is a path we walk till we meet Him face to face. Praising God we do not walk it alone. He is with us step by step and even gives us some awesome companions here at the Oasis to help us along.

You stand strong sis! You are doing very well! *angelbounce*

oh p.s. I think there's very few who don't struggle with some sort of sexual sin to some degree in some time of their life.
No shame. Just freedom and forgiveness. *Cross*
