More Day 1 Stuff

Postby UpSide413 » Wed Aug 18, 2010 6:07 pm

More thougths - today hasn't been a great day, but I did overcome the wine in the cabinet!! Had it in the glass and poured it down the drain!! Oh BTW the entire container went down the drain. Couldn't have any around. This was even after I found out my sister's cancer is spreading instead of getting better!! I could or would not have done without my "vice" before being lead to this site. I feel the love and support and have a new hope that I can get my life back and my relationship with God back where it should be. I've ran back and forth to the computer many times today just to get a boost! THANKS ALL.
Tomorrow thinking about starting a diet too. Not anything extreme, just simple eating, not eating everything!!
Wish me well, I'll let you know more tomorrow. Any good eating plans to replenish your body after drinking 3 years please pass it on. My recovery needs to be a total body, mind and spirit for it to stick.
Suggestions??

Oh, oh, for me, cutting out the breads really helped. That included the crackers, cereal, cookies, and bagels... breads, starches.
Also, not eating doesn't work... smaller frequent meals work better.

Good to hear!

I ate fruit nearly all day for a few weeks and lost a ton once. But that's difficult if you're home all day and around the other stuff. Toss out all the stuff you don't want to fall prey to. Cookies, cakes, ect. Just bag them up and put them in the dumpster. Better there than on your hips or someone elses hips.

Praying for you. You're doing great!! So proud of you. :)
