Answers to Prayer

Postby Guest » Sat Jul 10, 2010 2:55 am

Prayer has been answered for me in a variety of ways. The answer is often not in the manner/form you might expect. One example: I often pray for patience. Most recently was this past 4th of July weekend. On Saturday I prayed for patience and shortly after I got home that evening I discovered a major plumbing issue that caused our bathroom to be out of order. Unable to get a plumber that night so you can imagine the level of frustration. The next day was Sunday the 4th and a plumber arrived as I was leaving for church. I went on my way thinking the problem would be resolved. Upon returning home another plumber showed up because the first plumber could not fix the problem..........anyhow the problem was not resolved until Monday noon. Meanwhile we had planned a big cookout for that Monday and changed the location from our place to another because our deck had to be partially removed to do the repair.......Long story short I would say the prayer for patience was answered.

Mike that's almost funny. I chuckled a little cause I do know how we learn patience.

I pray for Him to give me patience but honestly I'd rather not go through the process of learning patience. lol

Glad your plumbing got fixed. :)

Oh I can totally relate. God is wonderful that way :) After all, if He just spoon fed us everything, we would never learn the lessons we need to grow.

And just cuz we ask God for something in prayer, doesnt mean that we dont have a part to play also.

Thanks for sharing , GBU.
