Cubbys Grandpa

He had a stroke. They don't expect him to pull through this.

Please pray Gods will.

*Pray* May God's will be done...and may His comforting arms surround all those touched by this.
Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.

Thank you for your prayers.

I got to spend the evening with grandpa.

I don't think he recognized me. But our time together was sweet.

When I talked about cubby he started tugging on his blankets and trying to pull himself up. He would try to talk what sounded like the word, "Home."

I kept telling him about Jesus. He knows Jesus yet would get restless and look at me like he was saying there's no way Jesus could forgive him.

I sang to him about Jesus. He looked at me and tried to talk. It sounded like he said, more.

I'd cry and he'd wipe his face with his one arm as if wiping away tears. Yet he had no tears.

Thank you all for your prayers.

I wish I was here to say Grandpa received glory in the heavenly realm but he continues to fight death.

Every time I see him he grabs tight, very tight to my hand and won't let go. When I have to leave I have to pry his hand off.

Friday Cubby encouraged him to go see his mom and dad. He began to drift and with in an hour for the first time he let go of my hand.

Saturday he slept all day. He didn't respond to anything and didn't open his eyes.

Today (day 10 with out food or water) I walked into his room to be surprised to see his eyes open. I picked up his hand and there was no life. I said let me see how strong you are grandpa and he began to squeeze. He squeezed so tight just like the grip he had before. I said something about how strong he is and he smiled and even seemed to chuckle a little. He's not been able to do either since the stroke.

He coughed a lot today and looked at me as if to beg for comfort from the pain. He looked at me like he didn't know who I was. Perhaps he doesn't. Perhaps he wonders why I'm even there. When I kissed him good bye his forehead was cold and he didn't respond. Usually he would turn his head towards me or open his eyes just a little.

They began morphine as we left.

1:20 this morning Grandpas heart finally stopped.

He no longer fights to breath. He can walk again and talk again and is having a grand party with his loved ones who went on to glory land before him.

Praise God for our future hope we have in a wonderful future.
