day 6.
thanks for all your support and advices. I made a forgiveness list and wrote everyone on it that I felt that I had not forgiven completely. with writing that list and then choosing to bless them and let go felt like I started to end things and get through it. whenever I feel then something popping up I remind myself of the forgiveness list and that's the way to renew my mind.

I'm thinking today about what activities I'm going to put in that miracle grow thing. I'm not really a reader, but I'm a musician, a singer/songwriter (I only write for myself, not really performing) but maybe now you will understand my nickname;). I think from a creative perspective and I think in pictures and sounds, not really words. so in order for me to really grow in Christ, I need to put more creativity in that list and then it will suit me.

I've been thinking about sharing some of my music here, to encourage others and I will give you the lyrics of one of my songs that I wrote in New Zealand after a confronting time on DTS. I got the chance to record it but will figure out how to put it on my profile somehow. anyways, enjoy the lyrics.

I'll sing glory.

In the nightmare of my life
You were there with me
In my brokeness and when I was lost
You were there with me

It was Your hand that brought me out of darkness
it was Your hand that healed the hurts inside
it was Your hand that released me of the chains
and I will sing and praise Your name for what You've done

I'll sing glory to the One who saved my life

when my heart rejoices in You
You rejoice with me
when my heart is singing to You
You will sing with me

It is Your heart that stirs in me to sing
It is Your heart that directs me on my path
It is Your heart that touches my whole life
and I will sing and praise Your name for what You've done

I'll sing glory to the One who changed my life

You are now beginning to grow. I too found the forgiveness list to be a huge success for me...

The charts are wonderful in keeping you on track with God. In fact, they will help you maintain daily the path and to strengthen your walk with the Lord. Start out with some attainable items and don't make it too difficult. You can always add more later.

You are really doing great littlesongbird. God is smiling I am sure of it.

luv ya

Wow! Wonderful lyrics. Hope you do share it soon. If you have it on youtube you can copy the code in your profile. I can try to give you a hand with that if you like.

I like the list idea. :) Remember to ask Him to help you forgive. It's a difficult task for us humans who fight in a spiritual battle to let go and forgive when we are hurt or offended. But God can and is willing to help us accomplish forgiving, through Jesus Christ shed blood.

Take care! Love you!

day 7 know your mind.

this was really an eye opener for me about if you not deal with things right away, then it will keep on coming back through your subconscious mind.

Im busy ejecting these lies about who and what I am. those lies had an effect on my feelings and although I chose to forgive myself earlier, I now realize I need to take more serious and deeper steps to really get it out of my system. the roots were deeper than I thought.

it really helped me that those lies in my subconscious mind could influence my feelings. so by ejecting the lie of unworthyness, defiled, dishonored and by replacing that with truth that I am worthy because of God's grace, that I am purified through Jesus'blood and that I'm precious and honored because of God's love for me, those feelings should leave.

this is process and it's a tough one, as the lies had room for such a long time. I chose to believe the lie that I was only good enough to be used and that caused feelings that kept me down. now I replace that with truth.

I'm thinking that because of the lies we accept and the feelings that come out of that we're caused to stumble in that very same pattern. the sin we struggle with, is the one that once started with a lie we believed. and so, when you're getting to the source of the problem and replace that with truth, I think that then through renewing of your mind you just may have found the solution to overcome in Gods' strength.

but yeah, I'm not perfect and I keep on falling, but I'm thankful for God's grace. I just want to get up again and try again. cause falling is not a failure, but to keep on laying on the ground and not getting up, that's the wrong thing. I can learn from the times that I fall. and those times just remind me of what Jesus did for me. His grace will never end.

@pine, I have the song in my itunes and not as a youtube movie. I don't really know how to make a movie of it, but if I can figure it out, I'll try.

Renewing the mind...I really like this step too...and I've referred back to it many times...especially when I notice foul thoughts creeping into my head...helps me sort them out and find the root of the thought...and I can eject them and get back to Godly thoughts. :) Glad you liked this step too sis...keep working on your mind...you are going to soon find you can control it.

luv ya

@mlg

Im starting to realize now that this is a life long process. this isn't just a quick fix solution, it's working. that's probably why it's gardening, cause a garden never ends.

is it weird that this is making me tired? not as in, I want to quit, but more like, it's taking a lot of energy, physically, emotionally and spiritually?
I feel like sometimes it's a battle. it's all won or lost in the heart. is that the reason that I might be feeling so down?

cause I do not have a reason to feel down, just that this is taking lots of energy (which is good, cause it's working!), just wondering if I'm the only one.

I must admit that I've always been sensitive. I'm quickly aware of someone else's feelings and I sense a lot of things (it might have to do with creativity as well, I don't know), but I just sense this as a battle...

wondering if you could give me some answers, that I'm not crazy and so.

well of course it is a battle sis...satan wants you to believe his lies so he can keep you tied down and under his foot...but when you begin to stand up and fight...kicking the lies back...he doesn't like it...you are in a battle for your soul sis...a battle called Spiritual Warfare...but you can't avoid the fight sis...so be in it to win it.

The tiring can be conquered by refreshing virtue...that means Christian music, Bible reading and fellowship with other Christians.

luv ya

@mlg, thanks for clarifying :)

day 8. trials and tribulation
(normally I would post earlier, but due to my brother graduating and dinner, this is the first time I can write down)

I really liked step 8. I read the words that Paul wrote with new eyes and yeah, that's how I felt. I do the things I don't want to do and I am not doing the things I want to do.

I also found it really helpful to be reminded about the focus. If I start focusing on good thoughts or singing a spiritual song or so, that it will help me focus on God instead of the lies.

Really helpful today. I learnt a lot from it. GBU all and thanks for listening and encouraging me :)

day nine.

planting time. to establish good habits I'm going to use this miracle grow. it will help me to spend time with God and from there create habits where I want to worship or where I want to read the word.

so I want to start planting and one of the things I need to plant are truths about how God the Father sees me. What He thinks of me and how He loves me. I saw a prophetic dance today and it made me cry and I feel that there is something stirring in me that speaks to my emotions and to my spirit which is truth from the Father, as I got rid of a lot of trash. so today was a good day. I felt empty at first as I truly experienced that the pieces that formed my identity were thrown away as they were lies and God really started to fill them with truth. awesome...

(sorry, not a long message today, I'm really tired as emotions coming out makes me tired, but a good tiredness)

Oh yes sis...emotions...those things that tend to try and take over at times...but that's when we have to put them away...and allow God to continue to be the one we look at. Seeing Him above all the emotions.

I agree sis...God is the only One who knows who we truly are...and His definition is usually so beautiful because when we know Jesus all the bad is covered over in the blood...and when God looks at us through that blood...He sees beauty and Light.

luv ya sis
