Forgive me if I've posted this before, I do that sometimes. I am in need of prayer, I'm struggling from depression. The problem is I've become emotionally and spiritually numb. I don't feel the presence of God's holy spirit in my life anymore, life in general is like chewing cardboard. I don't have anywhere to start from. It's like I know where I am, and I know where I would rather be, and I may even know how to get there, but I'm stuck, I can't move. I'm desperate for God to breathe spiritual life back into me again. I'm grateful for the wonderful welcome I've recieved since joining, thanks everyone so much for your time! Love,

so glad you are here. I truly believe you arent here by mistake. The Lord led you here to find what you are so desperately seeking. As the others have pointed out, check out the counceling steps here. There is healing and truth in them. Ive done them a few times..and do them again when i need a refresher. You will find what you are looking for, my sister.

Prayers are rising, sis..and know that you are not alone in this.

I too would like to welcome you to Oasis: You did not just happen a upon this site: God has led you here, to renew you, refresh you. and establish everlasting life in you through the ressurected power Of Jesus Christ.
Jesus offers abundant life. This is a promise and his word can not come back void. It must be fulfilled. and it will be so in your life as you seek the Lord he will guide you and derect you to the path of life.

As has already been told there is a counseling program avialable here for you. I greatly recommend it to you. It will help begin to rise above the darkness you are feeling right now. We are all here to support you as you go. You are not alone and will not be judged here. We are sister's and brother's and we care for one other.
So let your hope rise up in you. And taste and see that the Lord is good!

probably the last time I really felt the presence of God's holy spirit was 2005, 2006. I think it happened after my dad died. I accepted Jeasus as my savior when I was 9 yrs old, and he's been a part of my life for a long time. my dad died in 2003, I watched him die. In the first year that he died, I seemed to be handling things well, but it soon became difficult to think about things, and to process things, I couldn't think about my dad without memories of the night he died, so I just blocked everything out all together, but in the process I think it affected my relationship with Jesus Christ, cuz when you block out the bad stuff, you don't really feel anything, good or bad. and I think it just kind of went downhill from there.
I just haven't felt anything for so long, I'm desperate for God's presence again in my life, but depression has just sucked the life out of me. but I am feeling hopeful these days. I've probably rambled on long enough, thanks so much for your words of support!

Are you reading the word, Are you listening to praise? Sometimes when we are depressed we withdraw from the very thing that can help us.

Welcome to Oasis my new friend! I am glad to see you here! I just wanted to share with you that when I came on this site I was so angry toward God because of things that have taken place in my heart and life. I was hurting and I really don't know why I came on here...I guess God led me here. Anyways, to get to my point, I have only been here two months and I have started hearing Gods voice and I actually heard Him call me by my name. I began to feel His presence here and that is how my journy began.

I am praying for you. Sometimes I think Satan puts the feeling inside us that we feel alone and far from God when really He is by and with us. It's going to be okay
