hi mercy, i'm new to sos and i just read your posts. there is a scripture that helps me at times its 2 samuel chapter 22. this describes the lengths that God will go to to rescue us when we call out to him for help. when my screwy mind will let me this blesses me a lot.......wl30176

Hi, sorry It has been a while since i posted but i was just waiting a while
first of all, I want to praise God for all he has done, giving me strength, and fro answering myprayers. I have not even had a desire or even totally forgot about the self pleasure......not sure if the dog sleeping in my room is helping or if its just the Lord, but the dog could be having a Gods spirit in Him that just makes me feel different, anyways, mlg, ty sis for helping me out with my filter, now i cant even try to see anything but grandma keeps asking if i still have it on, i told her yes, because i do, honestly
well this past week i had planned to sing at church this sunday and well i want to share this praise with you about how it went
well, since last sunday i was going to practice to sing a solo for the following sunday, i thought i was not sick anymore, the enemy got me, he tried to get me to lose my voice so i couldnt sing, but the Lord was working on my behalf and I told The Lord that by thursday i will have my voice back, well
thursday came and my voice got back.......many times i had to say get behind me satan, you cant destroy what the Lord is doing, and im beleieven for a miracle, expecting God to move....I believed it, and God healed......so then i kept believeing that I would do well, singing for the Lord, i started getting nervous about sunday, well last night I sent an email to one of my friends and she immediately wrote back, i told her that i was going to step on the devil with my feet, and she shared with me romans 16:20 The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.
I read it in my bible before leaving for church that morning, this morning
I wasnt nervous, didnt caught, i did take a few deep breaths before the music began, that helped, and i just sang very well, i could feel that the Lord made my voice strong! LOL i had to use the step stool to get up to the podium, and i had my hymnal and i gave the cd to the techie, but it was me who sang
so what does all this have to do with my temptations?
well its just showing that even when you think the enemy has you,
that you can turn to the Lord and you can crush satan under your feet in Jesus name
and say get behind me!!
and walk away from that temptation
and do something else
praise God for what he has done and how much he has brough you threw this far
and that you believe He can take you even further
to whole restoration
and whole purity
He is that Holy SPirit fire that makes us pure
let Him take control and let Him stick out all over you
that you can truly see HIS work in your life and those around you can see too, and they will allow the Holy Spirit to take conrol of there temptations and adddictions too.

just an update
i seem to get up to 20 days and fail
the internet people when hooked me up gave me a new ip so atleast everything is clean and well trying to keep it that way
sorry i havent been around much lately but due to the fact of the circumstances i have been not able to be online and such
im back for now

I was doing good until the 20th day
then thats when i mess up
I dont want to do this
I really need someone whom i can trust to tell these things to face to face

Mercy sis..you have to stand strong in the Lord sis...you see yourself faltering...and you know the way out is Jesus...time to get up sis...time to get back to following God...otherwise sin will consume you sis...and we know God's grace is there and it's freely given...but one has to be willing to fight the good fight of faith and receive it.
