Step 14 - Fellowship
I understand we need fellowship, and I used to go to church. I loved how I felt full of the Holy Spirit when I left. I went to just about all the churches in my area to find the one that fit me best and when I found it, it was great. I found a place where it seemed everyone had open arms. As I got hungrier for God's word, I would lose that time for church. I had 2-8 hour bible study, with understanding, and I couldn't leave my house because I was THAT hungry. I would pop into church every now and then, and one day the paster told the story of Job but turned it around, like we should be careful to serve the Lord when that's not what that story is really saying. I was so turned off and knowing the paster, I knew he wouldn't take me seriously or really listen to what I would be trying to tell him. After I divorced and then moved in with my boyfriend, I had a couple people tell me I was living in sin, and that's what you're suppose to do. Of all people, I knew that too. But to be shuned by a few people because of what I did really hurt. So now I study at home and every now and then I get people who don't understand God and are not godly people, come to me for help and understanding. I feel excited about that. I don't know what my calling is, but if people don't see me as being 'too good' for them, then I feel like I might be able to plant the seeds. I enjoy the fellowship on this site, it helps me feel spiritual.

day 13 huh?
VKmama, I'm sorry you were judged by a few people and this took you away from fellowship with other Christians. One thing I want to note here is that a piece of paper does not make a marriage. I have seen many pieces of paper that people use to say they are married...but in reality their marriage is nothing more than a front...they don't practice what God considers a True marriage...they just have a man made piece of paper. Sis...a marriage starts by following God...by allowing Him to move in your relationship...by making Him the center of all that the 2 of you are...and then within that marriage comes love and oneness. Not a piece of manmade paper.
I'm so glad you have found us here at the Oasis too sis. You are a blessing and I've enjoyed walking this journey with you. God does have plans for you VKmama...just be willing and He will guide you to His next step.
Have a delightful day sis.
luv ya

Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.

hey vkmama...almost finished here! woohoo!
i agree and echo what mlg has said here. Too many times we, as Christians, judge other people based on our own understanding of things..and in the end, we shut out the ones we have judged and turn them against "christianity", leaving a bitter pill in their mouths.
Keep going sis...He will make your calling and gifts known to you as you go. What are some of your passions? Something that has always touched your heart and sparked your interest? This is where the gifts He's given you are. He will make it plain to you. When you are finished in these steps, theres another program called "Many called, Few Chosen" that will help you identify these gifts and calling. God's given them to you for His glory...keep seekin, sis.
I too, am glad the Lord led you here. You are a blessing, sis.
in Jesus,
love momo
