today's journey left me pondering the differences in people's commitment to serving the LORD. when we accept JESUS as our savior, the Holy Ghost indwells us and seals us for the day of redemption. but that is where some people stop on their walk with HIM. they do not recognize HIM as LORD. they have the Holy Spirit indwelling them, but they do not allow Him to fill them to overflowing. i believe it is the overflow that changes lives, patterns, habits, and minds.
we are new creatures in Christ, but some people have become zombies. though they are dead to sin, they continue in the state of undead by not letting go of the things which the old man once did.
i find the more Christian things i do, the less i want to do worldly things. this world is not my home, i am truly a stranger here.
i simply want to make an impact on this place at this time for the kingdom of GOD.
PS. i got a chance to share the truth today at work, first time since my shift change. i worried about not having the chance to witness for Christ since that happened, but HE is omnipotent.
it flowed easier and more naturally than ever before

Sis...I call the Christians who know but choose to do the things of the world...lost Christians...and we need to reach out and bring them back as much as we need to reach out to lost souls. Serving God is more than saying a sinners prayer and repenting...serving God is work...and we have to be up to it at all times.

I am so excited that you were able to witness today. So very happy for you sis, and I know God is proud of you. :)

luv ya *hug*
Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.

ah, but some people accept Jesus but don't know to ask and receive the Holy Spirit so He can come alive in a person.
I think that makes a big difference

Hello,

As reading this post it reminded me that each day i wake up I have to decide to pin up flesh and walk in His Spirit. Am i going to let the worldly things bog me down today or am i going to live in freedom from the bondage of this world that likes to restrict us and choke the Spirit out of us.

We can be "Christians" and choose to live wordly... or we can choose to follow Christ and live in His Spirit and sometimes i literally have to say "Lord, you can handle this day better than i can.. so please come, I invite you to be every part of my being today, my words, my actions, my reactions, my body language, Lord live through me today and help me die to my flesh this day." Thats the difference.

And like others have said, it is work! It doesnt come naturally, and its a good thing it dont because then we wouldnt need Him, right?

Keep fighting the good fight of faith, and thank u for posting was an awesome reminder. :)

God bless you all
