a praise and prayer request
This is one of my friends from ky . He is a pastor and missionary. but unable to do that now, he did have an online ministry but with health problems is unable to do that now too, here is an update praise and a prayer request
Good morning everyone from Jim's sister.
Am asking first that you go to prayer for my very good friend AP ( Andrea ). I know you all are excellent prayer warriors with your friends and churches world wide. We serve an awesome GOD who doesn't distinguish between nationalities, race, creeds, nor of who has the most of anything and everything. HE truly loves us all. AP is a wonderful single lady who has a terrific way about her. She loves GOD with all her heart. I might add she has the most vibrant singing voice I ever heard and is not ashamed to use it for the glory of our GOD. Pleas remember all her family, her son, and all her children and their spouses. It seems that sometimes bad things do happen to us all but GOD know the whys and how comes. It is we who need to be like Job and know that the one true living GOD is in control all the time. Let us look to HIM in all things. Since all of Jim's flock are the greatest prayer warriors I am asking you all for special prayer. Thank you. (see request below)
Now for the great update on Jim! He got the suction pump yesterday. I happened by just as the nurses were setting it up. It is going to be great. They will come Monday, Wednesday and Friday to clean and repack the wound then restart the pump. It has a little canister to hold what is suctioned off. The canister is about 4 x 3 x 2 inches. They got it started about 3 pm central time (USA) and in about 2 hours it was a forth full. They left a great big box of supplies and Connie thought she could change it. She has too much trouble with that kind of thing and has to leave the room when they come. But both ladies gave her their card and she can call them. or me if it's really necessary someone get there quickly. It has a battery pack that lasts ten hours too so things are going good.
The wound is closing up but it will still be awhile yet. But things are looking up. Jim has lost 107 pounds.!!! WOW !!! The physical therapist will be there Friday (not sure if she comes more than once a week or not- maybe three times???) But he is getting excited about getting well. It has been a long haul for them and very depressing at times. It gets hard to see the end of it all but it is beginning to look up now. Jim is talking about next year getting out with the horses and perhaps doing some riding. Hope is a wonderful healing power and looking forward to getting back to his little flock has really encouraged him. Thank you all for your prayers. We cannot thank you all enough.
Please remember Steve and Pattie. Sometimes we forget (I know I do) to pray for the caregivers. Their job is one of the hardest ones, especially when the one we love is hurting so much and all we can do is look and watch and pray.
Cannot think of too much else to write but will keep you all informed as everything is going. Praise GOD from whom all blessings flow!

This is an update on Bro Jim Keeling, It just breaks my heart to hear of Him suffering
Hi from Jim's sister
Bad news about Jim. He had to go to the hospital yesterday(Sunday) and it went down hill from there. He was bright red all along his side up into his chest and down way past his knee. His temperature was over 100 and his face was red too. They finally got his temp down and got him full of antibiotics again. Today they did a cat scan on his pelvic area and leg. Then they did a sonogram on his leg to see if there were any blood clots and found a great big one from his knee to top of his leg. And that's when he passed out. That threw everyone into a panic but Doctor said that his heart and pulse were still good. We were waiting in his room and 2 nurses came in to tell us about it. Connie about hyperventilated. She was so upset! Her sister Diane and I went with Connie and nurse down to radiology and found that he was ok. But they think he was having a silent seizure. So after they got him back to his room they did a brain EEG on him. Something that checks brain waves. He had to hyperventilate for 3 1/2 minutes. He passed out during the test. Haven't heard about the results Later they also did a chest sonogram and found two blood clots in his lungs. Bad news there!
Doctor said that they would put a filter in the blood vessel to keep that great big clot from getting up to his heart, lungs and brain but he would need blood thinners again. Bloods thinners means he could bleed to death and he is too anemic. So what to do? They can't operate till tomorrow morning. They decided to go with the blood thinners and they will watch him close. They said he could go to Nashville but then he would have a hard time going that far. So they decided against that.
We are all going to spend the night. It will be touch and go till morning but he is in God's hands and he knows where he will be should this all fail. And we have confidence that if he should die tonight or tomorrow it is God's will that it be so. Pray for us all and especially Connie. She is terribly up set. Jim was talking about all his little flock. He sure doesn't want to leave any of you all. He told the preacher that he wanted to keep it on the internet and maybe it could be of some comfort to everyone and encouragement. God knows all that needs to be done and hopefully all of you will be blessed in some manner by Jims attitude about death. We will all face our own someday and it's real important that each person knows just where he or she will be spending their eternity. Pray that you are as prepared as Jim is and that you have confidence it will be with the one true living GOD.
I will leave you all with this thought: GOD knows the number of hairs on each head. He loves each one of us enough to send His only begotten Son to die for us- His best Gift- but it is up to each one to accept Jesus as a personal Savior. Not to accept him is to accept Satan by default. Jesus stands at the door of our hearts and knocks. We have to let him in. He will not force Himself on anyone. He will not enter unless asked.
Thank you all once again for your prayers. Now pray for each other as we grieve for Jim's suffering and pray fervently for his healing.
