Hi, Im sleeplessinflorida and I just became a member yesterday. Im not sure how this all works but I am trying to do the 14 day program and wasnt able to get online to post my comments as requested for the journal.

So here is yesterday's thoughts. Feeling miserable, I was in search for help online yesterday when the good Lord led me to this website. My concerns are whether I would ever feel the presence of the Holy Spirit again. I have been feeling alone and depressed. I find myself thinking terrible things, feeling hateful, angry, and prideful. I know it's wrong to feel like this and I do ask GOD to forgive me every time but yet I still feel weak and unable to do anything. It's like I'm stuck and need help but unable to get it together.

Today, I feel a lot better. I am feeling overwhelmed with joy that I found this website because for the first time in a long time I felt the Holy Spirit working on me. I have not been able to stop crying. I am staring to feel hope again. Thank you sooo much

So...what a difference a day makes huh? Yesterday from reading your shared thoughts...you were really down, but already you are beginning to feel the presence of the Lord. Sometimes we get away from God because we allow things to come in between...but He is always there waiting for our return. He never leaves us nor forsakes us. He loves you sis...and He is glad you are seeking Him. As you feel more of His presence...begin listening carefully as He will share so many wonderful things with you. He loves talking with you sis.

Those things you've been thinking on sis...the terrible things...well those are what we call weeds. You will learn about them in day 2 of the counseling steps. As you work through the steps you will find ways of removing those thoughts and replacing them with good thoughts...but for now try this:

Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

God knows what He is doing, sis. You are in the right place at the exact perfect time. Im praying with you and staning with you through this, as well. God bless you on this journey. Cant wait to see where the Lord leads you. He is faithful to finish what He has begun
