Day 10

Postby Lani » Wed Dec 30, 2009 12:38 am

"Feed My Sheep"

Reaching out and listening to those who are hurting is one thing I am called to do daily. I cannot say that I have any sort of advanced knowledge, whether life or Biblical... I simply share from my heart and pray the message is received as He intends.

I try to convey compassion and understanding when I interact with anyone. I know that where ever they are in their walk, they need someone to shine His truth and help them return focus to Him. I also know that, at times, they are where I was and now that I am free from that, I can share how He brought me through. We are all one step away from falling from His grace at any moment and at one time or another we will be the ones that need that light to shine :) The awesome thing about our Lord is that He knows this and created us to work together.... To WALK together and uplift each other when we are the ones down.

Many suffer in silence because they feel unworthy, unloved, unneeded. For this reason, I reach out randomly to those present in my life.... Sometimes "Hey, how are you? I am here if you wish to talk." is just the offer they need to share what is weighing on their heart. I also make sure I tell everyone that I love them, but He loves them more.

Everyone needs to know someone cares, every day I get the chance to share this with someone... usually several. It makes my heart smile when someone says.... "You are always there when I need a smile" what else can I say to such but..... "Papa knows"

I am forever grateful for ALL He leads me too and I will answer that call wholeheartedly every day. I appreciate every opportunity to share His grace and will do so as long as He leads.

I am thankful for each of you and when ya need someone to talk to, I am here. :)

God bless and keep you, today and always.... and most importantly May you feel His presence in your life.

Peace and Luv in Christ,
*BlessYou* Lani

Hi Lani *Hug9*

I've been away for a few days so I missed your whole judging thing.
I did want to say that I had a conversation with mlg once about chasing people off. I asked during chat in study and several others agreed that it has also happened to them. She pointed out that study started with 9 people and was down to us 5.
Sometimes something we say hits too close to comfort for a problem they do not want to deal with.

Now this will go with what you said today.
Ever have it where someone you just met will blurt out a problem they are having and you realize you can help them because you had gone threw the same problem?
God will bring people to us that need our help. *BigGrin*
That is sooo cool.

Glad you continued with the study. Love ya

Step 11

Postby Lani » Thu Dec 31, 2009 6:42 pm

Discernment

Ahh, this is something I pray for every single day, several times a day. Discernment and Insight.... both are rather important in sharing His grace. I seek to fully know that what I am sharing with a hurting soul is of Him not my own personal feelings. Knowing the difference is huge, but also tricky at times. I seek to share as He leads so that what is coming from me is of Him (Papa).

During times when I am led to help one who seeks truth and light.... I trust fully that He will bring the wisdom necessary to help this person through my relationship with the Holy Spirit.

Revisiting the life of Job was a loving reminder that we must lean on Him always. Job was tested and faced trials and pain I cannot begin to perceive. We all face trials. No one can say their pain is greater than anyone else's. Your pain is the worst (for you) because you faced it, my pain is the worst (for me) because I faced it but we learn compassion for one another because we all face hurt. What a beautiful testament to one man's faith in our Father.... in everything he faced he praised God... and God knew he would.

If we seek Him in the little things, we will already know what to do when Big things come our way. Perhaps then, some of the "big" things will seem.... not so big... as our strength comes from His almighty power. The one thing we must always remember, God is always there with us.... through it all. When He brings us through the hurt of our present situation, if we leaned on Him, He will return favor to us, Just as He did for Job.

Nothing is too big or strong for Papa.

Discernment is very important, for so many reason. We must humble ourselves to His wisdom through faith and patience. Often, I catch myself saying... or typing... Yes, I know exactly how you feel.... buzzz! I have to stop and change that to: I know how I felt when I faced it, but let me share how Papa brought me through it.

I cannot say I know your pain, but if we have a common hurt, I can say I know how it felt to me. In those moments, I must also "be still" and hear the quiet voice of Papa to share His truth.

Awesome Step!!!! See you for 12!

Peace and Luv in Christ,
*BlessYou* Lani

Step 12

Retake the Quiz....

*Clap* *ohyeah* *Clap*

But first......

I have enjoyed this walk. Some topics simply reinforced truth I already knew and some opened my heart to another view point... one I'd not considered fully. I have enjoyed this time of deeper fellowship with Him.

I took the quiz again.... awesome as always! I so enjoy taking time to consider each question. It is great! :) I got the same score this time around, which had me slightly bummed because it felt as though I had failed in some way. I can feel the growth within.

But upon reflection, I simply accept that the quiz is meant to guide us.... it does not define us.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this and I cannot wait to see what the last two steps bring.

Thanks to all who have joined me on this journey.

See you tomorrow for 13!

Peace and Luv in Christ,
*BlessYou* Lani

Hey hey hey , another one for Lani !! Another step forward toward what and where our Lord wants us to be huh ?

What's with this "failed" stuff ? , let me see , "some topics reinforced my knowledge , and some opened my heart to another view point" hmm , failed ? Besides , the only time we fail is when we stop .

Like you also said , the "quiz" (which, by the way I personally don't consider it as such - just a scale to see where I am) , does not define anyone .
I don't know how many times I had "taken the quiz" , and you know ? In fact my "score read even lower than before I started the journey , talk about disappointment !! , but you know what I realized , is the fact that , if I were to take the quiz every day , my "score will read different in each , sometimes lower , and sometimes higher , which is exactly why I take it periodically , to keep my self in check spiritually . In other words (yours maybe ?) No Worries !!

Cant wait to hear what you have to say upon "completion" (if there ever was a such thing) Destiny is a journey , not a destination .

I put in the order for you , for a set of wings and a halo ! :)

Keep up the good work !

In Christ
