dmorrow...Spiritual reminders can be lots of things...from notes laid around for you to read them...to the music and reading the Bible as you mentioned...to even coming here to the Oasis and reading or chatting. These Spiritual reminders will help you stay accountable to God and not letting temptation have an inch. Keep running the race.
Praying for you still
Take care and God Bless

Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.

Hello Derek
Object are what reminds you to connect to God.
The objects aren't what's important but the connection.
Bring your thoughts to him. Talk to him about things that seem not so important. I'd often talk to God about what I should fix for dinner and how to prepare it while doing the lunch dishes.
I'm loving the idea you have put down so far. Especially concentrating on the words of the songs. Sing them to him. He would love it. And Angels love music.

Sorrow looks back, Worry looks around, But faith looks up! Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly and trust in our Creator who loves us.

hey dmorrow, welcome again, to Oasis!
i just wanted to add that the Holy Spirit is your friend, your comforter, your teacher, your councelor, and so much more. The more time you spend with a friend, the better you get to know them..the same is true with the Lord. Talk to Him as if He is sitting right there with you cuz He is. He is within you. Talk to Him and share with Him what you would with a best friend and He will show you more and more of Himself, too...especially how much He loves you.
Im praying with you, my brother in Jesus.
in Jesus,
luv momo

Hi brother derek step 2 yay
Well u know, im not sure when it comes to reading the Bible each day, that quantity is the way to go. What i mean is, sometimes we aim to read more, and end up understanding less Cuz we take in too much too fast, and dont truly get a grasp or revelation from the Holy Spirit of what we have read. So dont think in terms of how much you read, but rather gaining understanding as you read. Each of us are different, so as you delve into a deeper study of the Bible you will begin to understand better what works well for you.
Fellowship with other Christians is also a really cool way to help us grow in faith.
So whatever you choose to do, make sure you do something, as there can be no change without action.
Keep at it brother Jesus loves you
